I run a few combo’s obviously but a 7ft fast action 10-20lb with a 200 size reel with pe 2.5 braid and 40lb leader will do in most cases with larger, heavier plastics etc mate.
Another great vid. I'm liking the way you've introduced the early morning 'b roll' footage of arriving at the ramp etc. I live in NZ and having done a few trips to visit SE QLD it's enjoyable to see some of the surroundings - rather than just on the water, which in some cases could be anywhere. I also know from those holidays that sunrise in QLD is ridiculously early in summer, but it still always amazes me how much fishing you get done, then say "it's nearly 8.30 now, I might head home"!! Quick question - when you're on spot lock and there's decent current, do you cast 'up current' and basically swing the softbait 'downstream' until it gets out too much line angle? Or are you casting 90 degrees and winding back across the current?
Cheers mate! Yeah, it’s early alarm settings these days… I love that time of day and find it so pretty and worth sharing. I cast on a 45 most times and work back with the current till it’s past the boat.
Man, your gear and set up is next level. You deserve all the fish you catch.
Cheers mate!
Love good gear 😍😍😍
Another informative video. I am learning how to improve my technique. Keep them coming Peter.
Thanks so much mate!
Will do 🙌
Another well presented vid. Your consistency in the bay is impressive mate 👍
Cheers mate. It’s a good reflection of the health of the bay too. If we can change shark activity, it would be excellent!
@@Peter_Herbst_Fishing agree with you on the sharks, it's beyond ridiculous.
Another awesome vid, we were out on Saturday as well but tried the top of Moreton where it was a bit lumpy. Keep up the great work 👍
Cheers mate!
I’ve learnt so much from your videos.
Thanks guy!
Nice to meet you and your dad.
It was nice learning from u and meeting u! 🤩 @@Peter_Herbst_Fishing
Love how you can pick fish out of a huge bay of water. Impressive to watch mate
Cheers mate!
Plenty of time on the water over the years sure helps.
Lol boat following you hahaha…
You’re bit like me, both our boats stands out like an eye sore. 🤣🤣
Yeah, was a little disappointing as everyone has been really good on the TH-cam experience thus far.
Nice Pete,
Great watching! As always
Thanks Hayden 🙌
Hey Pete,
Another action packed video as usual, great viewing mate.
Cheers Steve!
Bit off more than I could chew there at the end.

That’s fishing old mate, we win some we lose some.
Very annoying when GoPro stops/overheats wish I could stop it from happening. Another good vid Pete👍
More user error this time 🤣
😂😂
Great video looked like a nice day on the water sham the fish didn't want to play
Thanks mate
Awsome video mate
Got pumped!
Nice work fella.
Thanks bloke
Great job! 👏
Cheers mate
I want to start fishing like this. What sort of baitcast stuff do you recommend, regarding to length, weight, action and reel size, Line weight etc?

righio, that'll get me going, and break the bank a bit but who cares. I'm gonna be out fishing. Thanks so much!@@Peter_Herbst_Fishing
@@halen_outdoor that’s the spirit 🤣
Keep the vid coming hope
To see giant herring show up 👌👌
Sure it will happen somewhere Greg.
Big fish mate I have experienced that there and I reckon good size cod tbh
Yeah, recon that fish has a couple hooks in it 🤣
@@Peter_Herbst_Fishing definitely has my 6/0 bkk in it 🤣
I’ve been looking for ages now on the market for a good rod suitable for vibing in the port. What rod do u use?
Nomad have started making vibing rods
I use Dobyns rods mate. 7ft or longer 10-17lb through to 12-25lb.
