Grew up in the era of the 90’s the “Someone’s in the backseat” scenario was major in horror stories so yeah I ALWAYS search my car...even in the freezing cold!
I'm trying to teach my fiancé to do the same thing, and also to lock her apartment door whenever she is home, not just when she goes to bed. She's just too trusting and I fear one day that could get her hurt.
I'd love for someone to try that but on a 100°+ summer day and you could somehow keep your doors looked from both sides. Then they'd cook and get what they deserved.
Even in my small Beetle I still turn around and check sometimes 😂
And thanks to Cape Fear, I look UNDER my vehicle as well!

Dad and his 2 sons: you picked the wrong house fool
A group of guys at McDonald's kept chucking rocks at the back of people's car windows and they kept getting away with it. Then they chucked this rock at my brother and his mates car and they got out of the car and chased them and caught one and dragged him into the McDonald's where the manager wouldn't let him go😂. This comment is sort of similar to this incident so I decided to share

I have to disagree. I just turned 21 and it’s still a good time to me. I still enjoy the presents I get. No one in my family has said that they get sad on Christmas. As a teen I still loved it. Although a friend once admitted to me that she found Christmastime to be a bit sad, because for some reason, it reminded her of the past.
Unless you had a crappy childhood like I did; then it’s a different kind of depressing. 😬

My uncle was visiting us once. He went out for lunch and came back to our house. He tried entering but our front door was locked while i was home.

That second story is actually TERRIFYING. I've heard a few stories of people hiding in the backseats of cars like that. I check my car every time I get in it because the thought scares me so much. Gave me the chills!!

A Lesson to learn from these stories: KEEP YA FRECKEN DOORS LOCKED, EVEN CAR DOORS
Yeah, this is one of three reasons why I lock my bedroom door every night before I go to sleep. The second reason why is because I've had my phone taken off of the charger in the middle of the night (My little brother took it, not sure why tho) and I don't want that to happen again. My final reason is for privacy reasons (as a 14 year old male, I need a time to take care of "business" if ykwim).

funny story about how my neighborhood is so freaking safe even tho i live i the reservation: one night we parked our truck in the middle of our yard so we could stargaze. we sat in the truck, rolled all the windows down and my dad put the keys on the dash. it got cold so we went inside, completely forgetting that we were leaving the truck unlocked, windows rolled down, keys on the dash. my dad woke up in a hurry the next morning when he remembered what happened. just then a random stranger came to our door. "i was giving you your mail when i saw your car so i decided to turn on your car, roll the windows down, lock the car, and give you your keys back"
That last story is one of the most despicable ones on the channel. This robber just ruined Christmas for the rest of these kids' lives.

Its technically not trespassing unless they've told you to leave or if you have a no trespassing sign because it's legal to walk up someone's door

Just lock the back door and you should be fine in 8/10 cases
moral of the stories:
1) be cautious of everyone and have your doors locked
2) always check your car before entering, you never know if someone is hiding there
3) no matter what, always lock your doors and windows, especially at night
4) trust your kids whenever they say something suspicious
And keep your guns loaded

Holy fuck this reminds me, Yesterday night me and my mom heard the dogs aggressively barking at the front door and me, her and my little brother ran for the door and my mom said " who is it?" And my little brother interrupted me and said " It's the message" and I said what message and he just walked snack into his room and played with his toys.
There was no one at the front door....

When I was kid around 8-9 I would drive my bike back and forth from a small church that was a few houses down and then would come back, I liked riding to it and back because it had a nice hill in the parking lot so I could go pretty fast. I remember an older man in a van pulling up and flagging me down. So I rode over to him. He had said he was looking for his dog that got out and was wondering if I had seen it. I told him no. He then proceeded to ask if I would help him look for it a bit further up the street near the school that was close by. He saw my hesitation and said that he had candy that he could give me. It wasn’t until he said that he had my favorite kind of candy that really made me realize something was off. I remember thinking, how does this guy know what my favorite candy is. And I just took off on my bike as fast as I can. I told my grandfather what had happened when I got home. I honestly can’t recall what happened after that point but I don’t remember talking to any cops or anything but every now and then I stumble upon videos like this and make me think back to this day as a kid. Typing this out has given me the freaking chills. Please watch your kids

'Defund the police' doesn't mean get rid of police; it means we need to divert some funding toward other types of frontline workers, to deal with the unfortunate and/or mentally ill. Big cities have a major problem with cops shooting the mentally ill because they don't know how to handle them. Cops for crime, but social workers, mental health workers, and medical personnel for people suffering on the street.
3rd one isnt that scary, its more of a story about how they saved a woman. She could have died in cold outside.

Story number two really speaks to me there was one time we were in the middle of the thunderstorm and then a police officer pulled up on us and told us to follow him and we rather shelter because the storm is really dangerous
You want to know what scary incident we had we were driving around Oklahoma we got separated from my mom she was driving a different carlet me stop in an abandoned truck stop that looks like it hasn't been worked on in years it was like the typical horror movie thing the little light flickering the restrooms are disgusting my dad went there and then he came back running a little bit and then we felt like somebody was following us in our van nearly broke down but it never broke down

I have a fascination with Christmas horror. I think it's the juxtaposition of the holiday which is supposed to be joyful and peaceful with the horror and fear. I love Christmas themed horror films, specifically Black Christmas which honestly has the same kind of eerie vibe Mr. Nightmare's stories have.
