I could be mistaken but I think each episode is a new decade. First episode was 40’s, second was 50’s, and since there is 9 episodes in the season, the last episode should end up in the present based on that time frame
I ADORED how they did that. Back when my family had cable & on days when I woke up early as a kid, I used to watch I Love Lucy reruns, which they took inspiration from for the 1st couple episodes. It did a nice job paying homage to the show. & now that Wanda's pregnant w/ the twins & the show's in color, I'd bet they'll be taking inspiration from The Brady Bunch for the family hijinks.

I though it was sorta slow/boring at the beginning. I like that so far it focuses mainly on the characters and the atmosphere than on the action and big CGI battles. I also like that they give us only a small amount of puzzles in the story, so we didn't immediately know what was going on.
This entire show is incredible. The different decades, the slow buildup of suspense, the whole domestic nature... I really wanted the wholesome parts to continue on for a bit longer, even though the suspense was killing me.
