"Be Not Too Hard" is a poem written by Christopher Logue, which the folk singer Donovan set to music, to form a song. The end result was very good, and both parties deserve great credit. In addition to the Donovan original, Joan Baez did a great cover of this song.

Yes, I've passed the road sign for the hamlet of Haigh quite few times. I've visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Part many times over the years -- it's a great place to visit. I was last there about a month ago. I'm taking a short break from TH-cam at the moment (visiting our eldest son and family in Bristol) but I'll catch up with you in a couple of weeks. @@harrietbarbir8579 We usually have our 7-year-old grandson (our youngest son's boy) for a sleepover at weekends (he's here now), but we haven't seen our two granddaughters (our eldest son's daughters) for a whole year. They are 18 and nearly 15, so it will be great to see them again! Their dad was up here in West Yorkshire, working, about a month ago, and he stayed with us. We went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on one of his days off.
Reading the lyrics on their own, they are stark and harsh (IMO), the music and the melody soften them quite a bit. Nicely performed, as always, Robert!
