I only fish Lake Athens. I'm just starting, tamarack 120 from Walmart, hoping to get a pescadero pro 10, 68 years old, not concerned with standing in a kayak. Thank you for this video. Good luck in your tournaments.
Chris! Semper Fi Brother! I live in Idaho and fish out of a Hobie PA12 for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass! I enjoy your content on TH-cam and I’ll look for you on FB!
I totally understand. Sometimes it is just about perspective and we desire more than what we are given. "I had a good day, but it wasn't as good as others". I started comparing myself with others instead of being grateful for the day that I had. I learned that and I want to take that mindset into every tournament I enter. It was a tough day on the water for sure, especially with the weather.
Slick Water Yakin I picked this one up because the longer ones have more leverage when they move and it can crack the H rail. I have no problem with this mount. I love it
I don't really have one. They are all different and I haven't had much opportunity in the last year to fish for fun because I've been fishing so many tournaments.
Chris, was this your first tournament out of the PA 17? It looked so super stable and appears to be a really good "add" for you this season. It ought to come in really handy on big Lake Lewisville if it will allow you to cover more water, maybe fish deeper, too, when required. Good result, by the way, on Lake Athens on a cold and rainy day. Brad
Hey man, love your vids and I follow you on FB as well. I too fish out of a hobie. My question is how do you work a jerk bait from a seated position? i struggle getting the depth i need when seated in my kayak?
Godsson5335 I’m still learning it but keeping that tip as far down as possible is key. Having a light setup helps a lot for me. Also, just getting deeper diving baits too.
Good to see the 17T in action! Thank you for the video.
Absolutely. There are few videos out there.

Good job man! I would have been more than happy with a day like that. I’m usually just happy when I get 5 lol.
