Hey! For LOS, terrain size matters for who can BE SEEN over it, not who CAN SEE over it. So, Rocket (size 1) can see Hulk (size 4) over the Daily Bugle, but Hulk cannot see Rocket. Think of it as 'who can hide behind this' rather than 'who can see over this'
@@cjaldrich9588 cover can only apply if the defender is the saze size or less than that of the terrain, they must also be within Range 1 of the terrain feature, and the attacker must not be within range 2 of the defender. Also if a straight line can be drawn from attackers base to defenders base and that line passes through a terrain feature, the defender has cover. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thank you so much for showing each step to play. So many battle reports speed through stuff. I own most of this games range but have yet to play. Hopefully soon I can try it
Loved the video overall, have just received my Core Set yesterday. But... it's more like "Watch an experienced player playing and sprinting through the rules and rounds" and less "Here's a lesson on how to play" Observations: #1. Maybe mention that you're using more terrain pieces than are in the core set, just in case someone ends up thinking they'll get that many traffic/street lights. #2. If you intend to teach/explain how to play the game.... slow.... down. #3. Second round 'Power Phase': "...and then we have to roll for everybody holding a Spider infected." ... because? 🤔 No? Never mind then, just jump back into the play. There are a lot of jumps/edits like this in the video. It's like telling someone to listen carefully then having a rapid two-way conversation with a third person 😲🤣
Love seeing more how to play videos to refresh myself with the game! :D Round 2: I believe only Doc Ock and Spider-man get additional power. Those models are contesting the objective. the other ones or not contesting and have secured the objective. thus getting 0 power. At least thats how I read the Secure card. :\ Also a question: - Isnt the Terrain rule to place each piece with Range 2 distance of another? (Daily Bugle / trash can / garbage bin)
I watch this to see if it's something I would like to play because I painted the Hulk figure just because I liked it. It seems very tedious compared to HeroClix.
Yeah I only wanted Captain Marvel from this box and would just feel bad havning 9 unpainted models hanging over me. So I picked up the cards and Captain from eBay and just bought the characters I like.
What Mikey said - that game is gonna be fuckin' tops! Honestly, I don't get why people stumble on the setting. The GAME MECHANICS are what make the game!
For you, maybe? But to feel enjoyment fielding my models and to spend hours painting them it helps to like the characters. I'm unfortunately turned off by the marvel IP alone
slooooooow......dowwwwwwn.... I spent more time rewinding the video just to try and catch what you were saying only to figure out that this is more of a battle report (being hosted at an auction-house..."$1...$1...$1...can I get $1...$1...") and less of a "How to Play". 😵💫
This is some crazy timing, I literally just bought this box yesterday.
Mine delivered this morning 😂
Same here!
Getting mine tomorrow. Perfect timing
I bought it Saturday 😁
Mine arrived yesterday (21/12/22) 😊🤤

Good tip :)
does that effect cover as well ?

Draining the cube is an Action with Red Skull. Love seeing MCP on your channel Ash. Keep up the great work.

You are right. This is decent "watch it played" video, but a lousy "how to play" video.
I agree.
Yeh I get it makes for a more snappy video but it’s too quick to learn much. Fun video though, hopefully more to come! ❤
18:55 Classic Ash roll
Thanks for this helpful play through!
Great Introduction, thank you :)
Noice ima buy the box set along with Uncanny x men and Brotherhood of mutants
Going to start playing as well
Between the rounds 2 and 3, after the cleanup you had a sort of power addition. Where did that power come from?

Why is Spider man and Black Widow cards larger and different then the others? Just curious, that would drive me crazy
Just picked up the core set before Xmas and I'm wondering is it worth getting the updated card pack now or wait till 2023 version do you think ? 🤔

Not very intuitive on learning how to play. You are literally just playing a game without explaining the basics.
Can kingpin throw a character into himself? To deal one damage to the enemy since he doesn't take collision damage from characters
Looks a lot like chess to me
A box full of characters I don't like.
Thats said, they have a new Xmen faction box that has me interested.
Yeah I only wanted Captain Marvel from this box and would just feel bad havning 9 unpainted models hanging over me. So I picked up the cards and Captain from eBay and just bought the characters I like.
I'd be interested in this game if it wasn't superheroes.
Star wars shatterpoint next year, similar thing but star wars IO

@@kaibe5241 people stumble on the setting because Stat Wars has become trash. Not that it was anything spectacular, but now it’s just sad.

I didn't really care for the game, but its fun getting some miniatures to paint of some of these characters.
