Most people have to work all day everyday of their lives to survive but I am thankful for people like you guys at least show us a life we may never have. You give us pictures in our heads now to sleep with and mix with our dreams!! We appreciate you sharing with us!!
Mostly, people can do so through extreme training and relaxation of the lungs. On average, a normal adult can hold his/her breath for over 2 minutes underwater. With constant training, you can learn to relax your lungs and muscles so you can last a full 5-8 minutes underwater. A Documentary, which name has slipped my mind, had a full grown spearfisherman who dove underwater with only a speargun, flippers, and a trunks, and stayed under for at least 5-6 minutes. How? All through training your lungs to hold out that long.
If you held your breath every day you'd be surprised how much longer you could do it after a few weeks, and especially at sea level if you do that often it's not really surprising they can go for 6 minutes. The body adapts in crazy ways
Allan T As a freediver myself, the only thing you can do is practice. A lot of people will use restricted breathing masks while doing cardio, I just swim laps while holding my breath. One lap, breath, another lap, breath. You can stay underwater for insane amounts of time if you practice.

"I've been dreaming of flying my entire life" Hasn't everyone?
"When i was young i was used to watch birds"
This is amazing. I love sharks, but I would be too damn scared to swim with a shark, even if it is just a Tiger shark or something similar.
Just a Tiger shark, holy shit the only shark that has attacked and killed more people is the white shark. If its your first time swimming with sharks, they sure as hell don't start you off with tigers.

I know that, I was just referring to the sharks in the video. At least I THINK those are Tiger sharks, but it has been a long time since I have read up on sharks.
I guess, I should have written my first post a little better.
lazylank are you sure those are tiger sharks? i thought they are reef sharks.
NIYAZ NAZAR
No, haha I am not sure. Reef sharks, yes, you could be right. I may have to research this. Either way, I'd be too scared to do this. lol
lazylank They are Tigers, the greyish white stripes on the back and the long tail denote them as such.
Gorgeous storytelling. Thank-you.
do they actually hold their breaths for that long?
Training
I must say the sharks in the video don't look as scary as any great white out there!
