There isn’t any place that you can fish from the shore without having a rope fence in front of you anymore at Disney. Even having a spot to fish from the shore at all hasn’t been around all that long since the unfortunate incident with the little kid having an unwanted encounter. 50 pound braid, single hook, and a stout enough rod to drag them over the fence or up onto the bridge is key. The favorite forage for those fish are the shiners that are fed from the anglers on the boats and baits dumped in the water after trips. Get yourself some zoom flukes, or similar baits in wild shiner colors, and if they’re going to bite, that’s what they’re going to bite. Top waters in front of the spillway will work (other places too but that spillway is the spot), but if you hook a good fish and you don’t have some kind of fancy accoutrement to drag them up the bank, it’s not going to happen on a treble hook. Being a little creative with landing gear and navigating the fence becomes almost a non-issue. That’s a fun spot. I’ve never stayed at the campground, but I’ve been on those Disney transportation buses with fishing rods a whole bunch of times and really enjoy going over there on occasion. Nice job.

Nice video buddy! I'm glad you were able to get a little fishing in while you were there. You also caught a couple of nice bass. I liked the Contender you were using. It was a nice looking bait. Thanks for sharing! #J-HookFishing rocks!
