      I don’t think I took those apart? If I did, I apologize for not showing it. Transmission stuff can be a bit tricky, hopefully the video helped.

    Awesome video! Been getting a loud random clacking noise in 1st gear on my busa sand rail, might have to order me a set of those gears and give it a shot

      It’s not too terrible, just take your time and it’s pretty straightforward. Good luck, thanks for watching.

      It’s not too difficult of a job, at least the lower case comes off so the engine doesn’t have to be taken apart all the way.

    how many hrs labor to replace bearing behind the front sprocket on gsxr600 srad got told 1187$ is this high

    • @TomsTinkeringandAdventures
      @TomsTinkeringandAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know, it’s likely a similar process to this meaning that the entire engine may have to be split. The bearing is probably cheap, just lots of hours to get to it.

      I have got to strip my generation 2 Busa g/box, the input bearing behind the clutch sounds rough. Noise sounds like a dry rumbling bearing. I have removed the clutch and can hear the noise transmitting from the bearing. When the clutch was assembled and engine running , if i pulled the clutch in the noise reduced. Not looking forward to stripping it down. 10 years ago I would have been straight in and had the job done by now however I have lost enthusiasm to do jobs like this after 40 years of working on cars! Lol!

    • @TomsTinkeringandAdventures
      @TomsTinkeringandAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Gbbikeleathers I understand, sometimes I look forward to repairs and other times I dread them. The good news is that this engine is pretty easy to split once you get it out.

    • @Gbbikeleathers
      @Gbbikeleathers 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Engine is now all stripped down after following your video thank you! one thing that seems not to be shown on your video is the removal of the counter balance shaft to gain access to the 8mm bolt that is hidden from view. This bolt holds the bottom half of the casing to the top half. ! My noisy rumbling noise was caused by the input shaft needle roller bearing ! all other parts are in good conditon so I will be putting it back together shortly. Bernard

      @@Gbbikeleathers I can’t remember that bolt but I must have removed it. Good luck with your reassembly
