But that bare minimum made Ellen see her as mother figure bc let's be honest, the servants are either assholes or coward... They rather blame the ill duchess than do anything to help. That shit headmaid is her nanny so it's her job to take care of her but she probably does care for Ellen when she was a child and get a bit greedy as she age...
