I Remember listening to this game! I couldn't believe ole miss jumped out to that 21 - 0 lead. I was a little worried! But...then, THE TIDE ROLLED IN! lol.
Yeah, it is pretty odd. Especially when you consider that Bama's games against Kentucky and Vanderbilt had both been broadcast on TBS. I'm just glad that footage of this game exists!
@@BamaRewind The only other games that I can think of similar to this game was the 1974 Notre Dame-USC game when Notre Dame led USC 24-0 in the first half and USC blew them out in the second half to win 55-24. (That Notre Dame team beat Bama 13-11 in Ara's last game. Rudy was on that ND team!) and the 1995 Florida-Tennessee game when Tennessee led 30-14 in the first half but Florida scored 48 straight and won 62-37.) Interesting note, Florida outscored Tennessee 48-7 to finish out the 1995 game and then scored the first 35 in 1996 in a 35-29 win. Bama's 62 straight vs Ole Miss and Florida's 83-7 run vs Tennessee between the 1995 and 1996 games are pretty phenomenal stats.
Alabama if I remember actually tied the Record with Tua at QB in 2018, Ole Miss score on a 70 yard TD, they go ahead 7-0.... But Bama wins ... final score 62-7.... At Ole Miss in 2018 season, amazing
This games was the same day as The Rolling Stones steel wheels tour back in B’ham. I gave up my ticket to see the stones and go to Jackson and watch bama, was so angry .....at 1st Gary Hoillsworth was brilliant
I was at this game. I was in the 9th grade. The Ole Miss fans were totally classless and acting like total morons before the game to the Bama fans coming into the stadium. By halftime, the Ole Miss crowd was gone. Bunch of jerks. I grew up in Meridian, MS, and I will always despise Ole Miss.
Haha well, they had embarrassed Bama the year before, so this was an important game. Hopefully, the Tide can get similar revenge on the Rebels this season!
RIP Kevin Turner and Chucky Mullins
Agreed. Not only two great players, but also (and more importantly) two great people. Both are sorely missed.

Ol' Hollingsworth was spinning it this day. One of the greatest performances by an Alabama QB. 363 yds and 5 tds.
God bless Chucky Mullins and his family and friends.
Amen
thank you so much ! i have always wanted to see this game
You're welcome! Happy to share.
Bama Rewind Amazing that this game was not televised. Ole Miss finished 8-4.
Why this game was not televised is beyond me. Ole Miss finished 8-4 and Bama was 10-2.

62 straight points. I’m wondering if that is a record for an SEC team vs an SEC opponent.
RedElephantStampede I have no idea on that one. I definitely can't think of another time Alabama has done it

That concert was Thursday night. Living color opened for them the game was Saturday afternoon.

I remember them stopping Lynyrd Skynyrd and screaming go to hell alabama
@@strck0974 They sure did. They did this during the pregame.
Alabama had two turnovers inside the red zone. It very easily could have been 76-27.
Is the audio from the Ole Miss Radio Network?
Keir Brodowski yes it is. This game wasn't on TV
I just bet David Kelly cried for 2 days after Bama's comeback!
Kellum.
Too bad Katy Perry wasn’t alive to see this.
Wouldn't she have been a young child? I think she's 30 something

62-27. Unbelievable. This is the Ole Miss we know and love.
Haha well, they had embarrassed Bama the year before, so this was an important game. Hopefully, the Tide can get similar revenge on the Rebels this season!
Would love to see another 62-27 game this year! Something tells me it will be closer, though I just don't see Ole Miss getting 3 straight on Alabama.
Ironically, after our comments, this game was the last time Alabama came back from a 21 pt deficit until this past year's Bama-Ole Miss game.
