Again, ang pelikulang ito ay taliwas sa sinasabi nila na historical movie ito base sa buhay ni Emilio Aguinaldo. Tandaan, kahit anong paglalahad at pagpapakita mo ng nakaraan, walang saysay ito kung hindi mo ipapakita kung ano ang mga dapat hindi maulit sa mga nangyare sa nakaraan. Ito ang ibig sabihin kung bakit "saysay" ang salin ng salitang history sa Filipino.

Ang pelikulang ito ay hindi KASAYSAYAN. Kung talagang gusto nila ibigay ang kasaysayan ni Aguinaldo, marahil dapat nila isinama ang mga negatibong aspeto ni Aguinaldo dahil ang mga kamaliang ito ni Aguinaldo ay may malaking dagok sa naging kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.
1. Ayaw niya sa gerilya strategy ni Luna na gagamit ng trensera at paabantihin sa cordillera ang mga Amerikano para i-ambush at talunin, mas gusto ni Aguinaldo ng European warfare na magkatapat ang dalwang kampo at sabay lulusob (hindi sapat ang pera at armas noon para sa ganitong laban).
2. Hindi rin naisama mga black prpaganda niya kay Quezon noong naglaban sila sa eleksyon.
3. Hindi rin naisama na si Aguinaldo ay isa sa naging tulay para dumating ang mga hapon sa Pilipinas.
Napakalinaw na BASURA ang pelikulang ito dahil nilalagay nila sa pedestal si Aguinaldo, kung talagang gusto nila magbigay ng pelikulang pang-Kasaysayan, marahil dapat mas nag-focus sila sa mga bagay na nangyare at ginawa ni Aguinaldo na hindi na dapat maulit sa panahon ngayon. Bakit? Dahil ito ang "saysay" ng kasaysayan ni Aguinaldo, hindi ang buhay niya mismo.
Baka si Quezon, bilang Tuta ng Amerika ang unang nanira kay Aguinaldo, gamit ang mga buto di-umano ni Bonifacio. Sinira ng Amerika si Aguinaldo at ang Unang Republika ng Pilipinas.
