Hello how do you get computer to recognize it for midi??? When I hook it up to computer it only acts like a charger. I have reason software and when I search for keyboard it cannot find this keyboard to use as controller.
Warren, i am interested in buying a folding piano. Of the 2 you reviewed, which of the the two had a better key feel and sound. The Longeye or the Finger ballet?
The Longeye i reviewed isn’t a folding piano, it’s regular, and it has a better key feel and sound overall. However, if you’re looking specifically for folding piano, I’d highly recommend Finger ballet.
Hi Warren, how do you turn off the key board speakers and use just headphones or stand alone speakers? Seems not everyone wants to hear me practicing:)
Question: If I wanted to get a different sustain pedal, like one that has 2 or 3 pedals like a standard piano, could that work with this model? Thinking about getting this digital piano. Nice review! Thanks for sharing.
This keyboard uses an 1/8 inch connection, and most sustain pedals uses 1/4 connection. To use other pedals you'd have to get an adapter like this one: amzn.to/48hHQQw. However, when I tested this, it flips the polarity of the pedal, so it works in reverse. To fix this you'd want to use a pedal that has the polarity switch, and not all pedals comes with that feature.
@@PianoLessonwithWarren I don't know if it is the case here, but some keyboards accept both normally open and normally closed switches. When you turn on the keyboard, it looks at the pedal, and assumes that the pedal is not pressed, so it calls that condition "sustain off" and assumes the opposite is "sustain on". So plug in the pedal first, then turn on the keyboard.
@@codetech5598 I’m familiar these functions so I tested both ways but got the same result. I may need to test is with a mono adapter; I believe I used a stereo one.
@@PianoLessonwithWarren LOL! I know, I know! I am just getting back into piano after many years of not being able to play. Thanks for letting me know. Love your channel and thanks for the response. I appreciate it.
I purchases the piano and the sustain pedal is not working properly. When I plug on the sustain pedal, it’s sustaining regard if I’m pressing the pedal or not. Anyone having the same issue?
Sounds like the polarity is flipped. Try turning on the keyboard, unplug the power cable, and the sustain pedal. Plug back in the power cable, and the sustain pedal, then power on the keyboard. Ensure your food is not on the pedal when turning it on.
@@rycoreco633 unfortunately I don’t know. Is one feature I didn’t test full. It sounds like a midi controller or a keyboard with midi connection would be more useful for what you’re looking for.
@@viralbuthow000 again, you’re comparing a $500 board with a $150 board 🤦🏽♂️. That’s like comparing a 2010 Toyota to a 2023 Tesla. You have to compare keyboard within similar price ranges and features. Compare this board with other folding boards, nothing else.

Great review!
Hello, is that can connect to regular amp speaker using cable ?
@@blessedkeytarist4893 yes, you just need the appreciate cables.
I think its recommended for beginners, key size, real piano or keyboard feel and the price.

Once you plug in headphones it should disable the speakers
Thank you! After close examination of the ear phones they have an IP and an NK on them plus the volume control. Switched to NK and it worked.

Can it be used as a MIDI controller? I use music programs like Ableton and FL Studio.
Yes sir
Hi Warren, does this model you demonstrated have a transpose feature? Thanks.
Yes. But I don’t talk about transpose, it’s blasphemy ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha😀

What's the key action? Fully weighted, semi weighted? Are the keys standard full sized?

Sound actually not bad for that price!!
That’s what I’m saying. For $150 it’s not a bad sound quality
Thanks!
heyy does this have a MIDI port? I want to use it with FL studio

Sorry.. but the piano tone sounds very bad..
You haven't heard the sound of a casio that costs less than 300$ yet 😂😂
You can’t expect a folding piano that cost $150 to match the sound quality of a $1000 keyboard. Come on, be realistic!
It's actually the exact sound of the Roland general MIDI piano.
Definitely no expression.
@@PianoLessonwithWarren LOL. Have Roland let you promote their Roland GO! Portable, better sound. Problem solved
