As beautiful as this stadium is, watching the old school Met stadium clips always brings back the best memories. Outdoor football on real grass, tailgating for hours before the game, and watching opponents succumb to the elements will always be my favorite version of Viking football.
Oh they still tailgate but you're right . Nothing compared with the old Met . It was a football field crammed into a baseball stadium where both teams shared the same sidelines . It had to be that way otherwise with the slow rise thru the box seats the lower bowl seats down the first base line would definitely be obstructed . The field was so crammed in the south endzone was basically a foot from the tarp that rolled up next to a chain link fence. Pretty dangerous but was a definite advantage for the Vikings

I'm a Niner and we played them Sept 2024. I went to that game, we lost but when I say their stadium is NICE and the intro is EVERYTHING!!! That dog gone horn and drum babbbay sends it over the edge.
Look up amhad rashadd intro for our home opener of the new stadium if you want goosebumps. And then come back and like this. TH-cam has it just look up we are the north

Minnesota's fight song sounds like it belongs to a college team rather than an NFL team if I'm being honest, but that doesn't change how important it is to the franchise or how much I love its goofy self. Every team of a proper age and heritage has its own little collection of idiosyncrasies, and the Packers definitely meet both marks. It's what makes the NFC North so good.
Still haven't been to a game since this stadium was built. Looking into getting tickets this year. If they do intros like this every home game though thats awesome. It's really on par with Jordan ERA Bulls intros as far as hyping people up goes.
