I got to see a screening of this film at the SF Film Festival last night, followed by a Q&A with the the director and the band; what a night. WOW! Such a touching and inspirational story and told so well. Arnel is charming and so talented. I'll be honest, I've never been a big Journey fan, but REALLY enjoyed the film and it gave me a new appreciation for their music.
He is such a humble man. It’s amazing

I have to admit Arnel is a true rags to riches story and respectful of Perry's legacy. It was moving to hear him be compassionate about the fans and the "BIG SHOES" Perry left to fill to whom without Perry's voice much of Rock "n" Roll wouldn't have been as sweet a pot. Now, If only Steve Smith's replacement can get the bell right on Don't Stop Believing the band would be in top shape...hehee. PS: I do have a very old Journey story to tell one day going back to 1976-77 at College of Delhi, NY
The good part is, he is still a good down to earth god fearing person after all that.
I wish one day we have a movie stories about the journey like the stories of the Queen band to.

I am not much for long hair, but I love it on him! Maybe he's just wanting people to know that he is not trying to replace Perry.
When Arnel just joined Journey, members told him to grow his hair long, otherwise they would look like a 'bunch of grandfathers' 😁to him...considering his height and age. How I miss that long hair...
