November 2024 ?? I have been looking at all brands? I have a f250 and I tow a mini micro trailer. My eye has been on this model because it’s a Honda and the size? Out of all videos I have watched??? This has been absolutely the most informative video. Great , great information all the way around.
Best video on it I've seen. I also live in Idaho and would LOVE to know how he deals with dehumidification of the windscreen during hunting! Thank you so much for posting.
Great video! We have been trying to figure out the best option for moving snow, farm work and hitting the neighboring sawtooth mountains of Idaho… was concerned about the height and tipping but this addressed that ☺️ Very helpful! Greatly appreciated!!
Yes by far the 500 is my favorite utv. The transmission is the game changer. I’ve owned a few more expensive brands. Faster with more amenities. P500 is the ticket. I pull big trailers on ranch and can’t say it requires more hp. The low gears and transmission is king starts and runs like a kitten.
Had mine couple years now. Trained my shepherds to ride in it. Lol not much room for two meatheads. I added bigger tires and elka suspension. Had my time with Polaris. Guess 6 machines yea never again. Had couple yamaha s excellent. Sold them honda now. Lol getting old
22:39 I have a Pioneer 500 which is virtually identical to the 520. On the plus side it's compact and fits in an 8 x 5 foot trailer. The transmission is great but noisy. On the down side it is slow, has poor ground clearance, no diff lock, extremely rough ride and a park bench for a seat. It's more at home probably just being used as a utility vehicle around horse stables or something similar.
Thats kinda what drew me to the cf moto, I ended up buying a cf moto trail 800, a little bit more clearance and more power, plus now a lot cheaper. Videos on it are soon to come
Would love to have one but at 74 do not want to be loading and unloading it off and on a trailer. Do live very close to the trails hear on PEI but was told I can not take it even a short distance on the road. Think they should at least let you ride down the shoulder of the road for short distances. What is the difference between cutting the grass with a riding more than taking one of these on the shoulder of the road.
I know in Utah and idaho they can be licensed for the road but in idaho you cant drive them on state highway even though we see them all the time. In my future video's I have purchased a side by side and a trailer, its really not that bad.
Thanks for the video. I have a 520 and happy so far. I had a heater put in mine and works okay for the winter months. Its not going to be as snug as a car would be. I need to get a jack for it if you can recommend the size. Last winter I got stuck in a snow drift that took some extended time to get out. I have a winch on mine, but there were no trees to hook to. I read from someone's comment that you can put it in four wheel drive and put the brakes as you step on the gas pedal to engage the front tire that is not spinning. It did not work for me. I seen several videos of the Appalachian hillbilly that has the Honda 500. He calls it mighty mouse. He put a torq locker to make it a four-wheel drive. Wanted to ask your opinion on that? I like the attachment for the spare tire. Where did tou get it? Thanks
Your welcome, as farmers as a jack I look all over for a small one ton but I don't think they make them anymore so I found a 2 ton on Amazon and thats small enough to carry in my tool box. I dont believe stepping on the brakes does anything for the four wheel maybe in your case a set of easy on chains would work. Honda sells a spare tire attachment for the hitch but its $$$$$ so I found them at a harbor freight for alot less. Thanks for watching and commenting 😀
Very good video. I enjoy hearing from people my own age. I’ve been looking at the 520 myself and this helped.
Glad it was helpful!
The trail they're riding on looks so scenic and beautiful
“Power steering?” “Yes, muscle power!” 😂😂 Love it.
Yea, he had a great answer for every question.
Great video. My respect to this gentleman. Great advice and beautiful family. Thank you!

I'm not sure what he does for that, but hopefully he'll watch the video and comment.

This was a great video with a lot of helpful hints. Its best feature is the narrow width.

520 has a bigger engine, a different transmission shifting map, no sway bar and slightly different shocks. Of course a dump bed too
i just bought a hisun 500 only 100 miles on it so far but for the price comes with everything you added
Nice!! Hope to see you on a trail

The video quality is really good, I wonder what camera they're using

I just bought a 500. They are hard to find. I guess I got lucky. Where did you find the back screen
At a dealership
I am looking to get one and thanks
Definitely a nice machine.
Oil change isnt fun. Pay the money or be patient.
What truck are you using to transport the sxs520?
I think he has a Ford 3/4 ton 6 ft bed
4.1 gallon fuel tank
Wow, that was something. Watching was….. fascinating
Thanks for watching and commenting
Ground clearance is 8.5 inches stock not 10😅
OK, thanks for the clarification.
The bed is rated for 450LBS. According to Honda.
I just picked up a 2025 model.
They call that armstrong power steering! :-)
