  • The path of knowledge is the path to paradise. The angels lower their wings out of humility to the seeker of knowledge in a special way. But what qualifies as seeking? And what benefits come through it?

    Subhanallah. So basically (correct me if I’m wrong) the one who’s on the path of seeking knowledge. The angels in the heaven and the creation on earth such as the fish in the sea asks for your forgiveness and makes dua for you? That’s actually so cool😫. Imagine the feeling of being greeted by the angels as if you’re a celeb in jannah. May we all experience that inshallah!💚

      True said akhi : ) ..... One more Hadith I remembered is that when Allah loves some he calls Jibreel and said "Yaa Jibreel" I love such and such person and Jibreel also loves and it doesn't stops there Jibreel goes and announces to all other the angels that love such and such...
      Just imagine our name being in that list Subhan Allah ::)

    What about a person who seeks knowledge in a sense that, e.g. they study physics for knowing and trying to grasp Allah's creation in order to just get a glimpse of how magnificent and mighty Allah is as a creator. That is, a person who seeks not islamic knowledge but sth that makes them think and contemplate and makes them more humble towards Allah... For The Creator left His signature in His creation!
    (I never got a solid answer i.e. a scholarly answer to this!)
    BTW this series is amazing and beautiful. May Allah bless every single person involved in the processing of this series: Ameen.

    • @oldlahore1857
      @oldlahore1857 4 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Brother I'll answer this according to my humble knowledge and understanding. The struggle for understanding this world in order to appreciate the wisdom and power of Allah is very beneficial. If as a result, it is making you more humble and grateful to the blessings of Allah and also allowing your o be more mindful towards nature then that's very good and Allah will like it as Allah says in the Quran that when you try to make your living better is is my 'fadl' (blessings). But, it is still the knowledge of this world. Youre only going to be in awe of the creation etc till you're here. The knowledge of the Quran is the ultimate knowledge. It tells you both how to live this life and the next. Most importantly, it reminds us about death. Which is an inevitable reality that each one of us has to face. So one should keep progressing in dunya aswell with always having in mind the fact about the temporary nature of this world. Thus, more efforts should be done to better the Hereafter. To conclude, hereafter should always be given preference over this world. (Hope this can be of atleast some help to you brother. May Allah forgive me if I'm wrong).

      0:53 hadith is clearly mentioning path of knowledge and didn't specify the knowledge of deen. Any path of knowledge that leads us to Allah is the best knowledge, and i agree with u. Also Allah mentioned in the Quran ( only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge) most fearful and closest to Allah are people who really knows God very well and find how amazing and precise is his creation. Also the prophet Muhammad SAW said : a strong beliver is better and dearer to Allah than a weak one, and both are good. Also alot of verse in Quran speaks about person should be a thinker, alot of verses in Quran speaks about his creation and asks people to think about it. So seeking knowledge to know Allah the almighty more, will get u closer to Allah 💙⚘

    • @ranimayman8034
      @ranimayman8034 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am no scholar but I will answer this to the best of my capacity.
      Short answer: All beneficial knowledge is knowledge not just knowledge of religion.
      Long answer: In his book, Al Imam Al-Ghazali (may Allah have mercy on him) states that humans are required to improve the earth and spread through it. That, along with worshipping Allah, is their purpose in this life. To be able to improve life on earth (and the earth), you have to learn of natural sciences, like physics, chemistry, biology etc. In this light, seeking knowledge is a form of worship, hence why we get rewarded for it.
      In the public educational system in my country, Egypt, this is generally how we are taught to look at these hadiths that brother Umar mentioned.

    The question that many of us ask. What is the knowledge that the prophet saw talked about ? Is it only the knowledge of God ? Like sharia and tafsir. Or is worldly knowledge included?

    • @thehotshot

      Salaam brother!
      Quran:
      --''Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason.'' (Al jathiya, ayah 3-5)
      --
      --''And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought'' (Al Jathiyah, ayah 13)
      Here Allah continually talks about signs, talks about alteration of day and night, rain (what Allah sends down from skies) life, lifelessness, winds, signs for those who reason.. Allah wants us to study what's in skies and on earth and to reflect upon to know our creator... These few ayah were just taken from the beginning of 1 surah (al jathiya) you should study it entirely. Quran contains enormous knowledge in every single surah (about astronomy, cosmology, space and time, embryology,business, physiology, physics, quantum physics, geology and more). Allah stated in Quran that this is the book for those who ''THINK''... So basically Quran is the parent root of all the knowledge leading it's branches in more studies.. So, if your intention is to know your creator and think and reflect upon whatsoever you study (productive knowledge) then i believe we can relate to what Omar Sulaiman is talkin' about as what most famous hadith quotes ''verily, Actions are by intentions''.. Rest Allah knows best..
      P.S i believe it's Quran's right on us that we study it first or we keep studying it along with whatever we learn whether it's just ONE ayah a day (along with translation)...

    17. Types Of Sadaqah Every Muslim Man and Woman Should Know.
    Sadaqah is not only linked with money. We often think that taking out money from our earnings are Sadaqah, but there are many ways we can do it!
    These are the 17 types we can take out Sadaqah;
    1. Dua.
    If you are just praying for the person who you care about or any person who has asked for you dua.
    2. Knowledge.
    Spreading knowledge among the people who can’t afford it.
    3. Advice.
    Giving wise advice to your younger siblings or people who are younger than you.
    4. To smile at your Muslim brother.
    Talking, meeting and greeting the people you meet.
    5. Help.
    Help the poor and help the people who can not help themselves. Solving people problems can also be the thing you can do.
    6. Time.
    Taking time out for the parents and your wife/husband is also a sadaqah.
    7. Tarbiyyah.
    Nurture (Tarbiyyah), growing up your kids well mannered is also a sadaqah.
    8. Patience over difficult times.
    Be very patient, do not yell about your problems to anyone. Allah will solve them for you.
    9. To advise for good.
    Advice your misguided friends to be on the Path of Allah.
    10. To stop from evil.
    Do not plan the bad thing, do not hurt or kill any living thing.
    11. To talk softly.
    Do not be harsh and Rude, Allah does not like Arrogant people.
    12. To forgive.
    Forgive the people who ask for your forgiveness.
    13. To give respect.
    Giving respect to elders and youngsters as well as giving credit to the people who deserve it.
    14. To be a part of someone’s happiness.
    Being happy in someone else’s happiness, DO NOT BE JEALOUS!
    15. To visit the sick.
    Visiting the sick is also the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (PBUH)
    16. To remove harmful things from the path.
    Such as removing the stone that comes to your way.
    17. To guide someone on the right way.
    Guiding means, if someone you see is misguided, then guiding that person to right path.
    Share it with your friends.May Allah forgive us and guide us to the right path. (AMEEN)

    FOR THOSE BELIEVERS HERE WHO ARE ASKING ''IF I CAN'T GO OUT BUT SEEKS KNOWLEDGE'' OR ''IS IT ONLY ABOUT KNOWLEDGE OF DEEN AND HADITH'' !!
    Aslamwalaikum all!
    Concerning ''If i cannot go out but seeks knowledge'' ..
    A famous (saheeh) hadith quotes ''Verily, Actions are by Intentions''... If your intention is sincere (while learning) and you want to travel for knowledge but can not then Allah counts it as if you go out for knowledge and much much more than just travelling for knowledge as long as you keep learning... Conditionally if your heart is sincere.. Rest Allah knows best..
    Concerning ''IS IT ONLY ABOUT KNOWLEDGE OF DEEN''
    Here Allah continually talks about signs, talks about alteration of day and night, rain (what Allah sends down from the sky) life, lifelessness, winds, signs for those who reason.. So, if your intention is to know your creator and think and reflect upon whatsoever you study (productive knowledge) then i believe we can relate to what Omar Sulaiman is talkin' about. Rest Allah knows best..
    P.S i believe it's Quran's right on us that we study it first or we keep studying it along with whatever we learn whether it's just ONE ayah a day (along with translation)... Quran holds diversity of 360 degree, It's complete guidance and are not we being individual supposed to see what Allah wants to communicate with us before we die? what is in which we believe? did we study ourselves!
    Best of luck you all, Salaam...

    What is the definition of Knowledge? Is it knowledge about the deen or knowledge about other things (like accounting, IT, etc.)?Does a person's intention have any role in seeking knowledge?

    • @OberynPinkViper
      @OberynPinkViper 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it definitely counts. As long as you're learning about Islam from verified and proper sources, the fact that you're doing it online doesn't matter. Basically, you are seeking knowledge, and that is what counts.

    Does this mean all knowledge or Islamic knowledge?

    • @Yusuf-zm4gn
      @Yusuf-zm4gn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Knowledge here encompasses both Islamic knowledge (ilm-ud-deen) and worldly knowledge (ilm-ud-dunya). There is a misconception that the hadeeths refer to solely Islamic knowledge however this is not the case as we have been told to seek knowledge in the general sense and teach it where possible. A prime example of this is Sh Yasir Qadhi whose knowledge is so multi faceted MashaAllah. During the time of the prophet (s.a.w), there were schools where different fields of knowledge were learned including religion, literature, poetry, rhetoric, medicine, astronomy, etc. And Allah knows best.

    • @Yusuf-zm4gn

      The medium through which you seek the knowledge can be one of many. Online resources which is become more and more common of course there is always the requirement to valid information. Journals, articles and the like.

    Hello sir, I am a Muslim and I am from Afghanistan. I have a question that I never find a good answer for it. It is about how our prophet peace be upon him married with a child, this question is always in my mind and it become like a barrier that not allows me to love him more and more. If you have the answer please do share it. Thank you and Allah bless you.

      Hello akhi. Salamun alaykum 🙏
      I am sorry but Where do you hear that?
      If you noted from hisyam bin urwah at book of hadith bukhari - muslim then many of scholar said that hadith is 'mardud' which mean can be deny because it only came from one person which is hisyam bin urwah..
      And more over that almost impossible some important thing like that can be missed by master of hadith like abu hurairah RA & anas bin malik RA.
      Its too long if i written in here, but the point is no one can make sure that if aisyah RA married with Prophet Shollalohu alaihi wasaalam when still a child.
      Wallohualam bishowab..barakallah fiikum 🙏

      Thank you so much sir, it would be great if your saying is true.but when I saw some discussions this very question. some scholars who was giving the discussion or giving some answer about it. for example, Zakir Naik, he never said that is a weak hadith and also his answer was not convincing at all.

      Your welcome akhi, im hope you'll found the truth somehow, and your faith keep going stronger :)
      Im also have an mathematical argument for aisyah RA age when married which is between range 18-19 year old..
      but i think its too long to written down here..
      Barakallaah fiikum 🙏

      The medium through which knowledge is attained does not matter. Because knowledge that was obtained from a text book is no more superior that which you learned from an online source. It is no way our fault that technology has advanced and we can now seek knowledge from literally anywhere 🙂
