The hook rating probably changes due to the layout , oil patter or the grid setting on the ball
All of you are wrong. The players make that list before they go on the show and rate the balls themselves.

who changes spare balls? all they do is go straight. I have had mine for about 15 years.
@@Stadt101 I remember I had 3 spare balls in my about 9 years of bowling I used a Columbia 300 ball for my first spare ball it was a hand me down then I used the storm ice ball after that I got a gold belmo ball and then I’m now using the ice ball again lol

Why such light weights? When I used to watch everyone used 16lb balls with fingertip grips. Now there's two-handed bowling, names for oil patterns, different ball materials, etc. Game seems so different now. I'm not complaining it's still fun to watch.. I'm just wondering why everything changed.
burnlastsunday everything has changed because the game has gotten harder (newer more delicate oil patterns)

He puts a lot of torque on the ball, which means a lot of pressure is put directly on his fingers. It probably started off as a small cut, but with the way he bowls, it turned into a pretty narly looking injury.
I'm not anywhere near Belmo's skill level, but when I bowled in tournaments, 65% of my thumb would be bleeding.

SSYabuddy why? This match Page had an awful ball reaction, if Page had a better ball reaction it would have come down to who performed better in the tenth frame
That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Thats like saying left and right handed bowlers should be in different brackets
