i would really like it if you would add a commentary on each exercise about what variants to use for older people. there are a lot of older folks, especially in the US population
Brilliant, strengthening the core, realignment, great as a tool for self diagnosis, bio dynamic stretching & contraction is definitely the way.The beauty is in the relative simplicity making it all more intuitive, & possible as a daily routine. Thank you
I have so many problems tightness and disfunction. I have sway back, sciatica, costochondritis. For me 1.piriformis/ figure 4 stretch 2. Ankle stretch do that for 15 minutes, soleus is stuborn as hell. 3. Back bridge 4. Hamstring stretch/ elephant walk. 5.atg split squat hold. I think this move is very beneficial. And a more holistic stretch/ strength for hip flexors
Couch stretch with a chair. I can do this in the office without looking like such a weirdo! Squats addressing the wink without naming it , which can take away from the focus of the technique, nice. I know this is a review but i'm motivated! Thanks!!
Couch stretch and deep squat are two of my favorite exercises. It took a while to build up to the deep squat because my ankles and calves were so stiff. I find planks very boring so instead I'm working up to the L sit and I also mix in some hollow body stuff. The plank with the roller looks fun though
You’re welcome! They’re low level enough that they can be done every day, but depending on how hard you go with load/fatigue it’s always important to keep an eye out for rest days.
For most, it may be better to out of the stretch a little more to a point where a person can squeeze the glutes. Eventually it should get easier over time.
What are your thoughts on these three simple exercises?
