Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It has the most populous urban area in Sweden as well as in Scandinavia. 1 million people live in the municipality, approximately 1.6 million in the urban area, and 2.4 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Outside the city to the east, and along the coast, is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County.

OOH, Bummer, missed it again. It was a very nice walk, Daniel. And... the hotel complex is soo close to the beach, and with multiple pools. I really hope you enjoy the stay and good resting, and that the rooms have good A/C! And that the company with neighbors etc are nice! There was not any much wind annoyance, BTW...

Good to see your impressions of your holiday resort. I've been to Greece many times, and in fact my most recent trip was to Crete in 2018. I stayed in the main city of Heraklion and during my week there took one trip out to Chania which is a lovely town about three hours' away, and then another to Agios Nikolaos two hours from Heraklion out in the east of the island which is also very picturesque. I was there in the May of that year which is the best month to visit Greece without that fierce burning heat. Crete is indeed the biggest island in Greece and it has so much to explore.

My fav time of day, great views. When by the water, I could actually feel it's smell and cold touch on my feet. Awesome walk, Daniel, thanks for the free ticket to Crete, even if just for 20-odd minutes :)
By the way, the plants you mentioned are oleanders, July is their optimum flowering month, and, as you can imagine, they thrive in full sunshine in a Mediterranean climate. The flowers are either pink, white, red or yellow.
I actually stayed at the same hotel some 15 years ago. Nice place! Love Crete

Looking forwaed a walk along the beach towards Chania. After 2-3 kms you will come to Nea Chora which is my favorite part of Chania with a fishing port, many tavernas and a beach right in the city. Then you will have another 15 minutes to Old Town of Chania.

The warnest day in Greece för me was ine time in Athens with 42C. And the same a couple of times är Corfu. I have been to Crete, and maybe 13 other Greek isles.
Don't mind the typos, I'm still on the bike on my way home from Stockholm, because someone has to go for walks when you are not around.
Corfu, Thassos and Samos are probably my favourite islands, they're all green and lush. My least favourite island trip was probably to Mykonos where everything was way too expensive. What about your experiences Stefan?
@@DikWhite I have a few favorites. Paros, Ios, Naxos and Santorini, all four very close to each other.

@@Steffe There are wildfires close to Rethymno which is just along the coast from Chania where this video was filmed.
