I hope they don't Cancel Culture effect it cuz GTO's soul (manga at least**) was all about the extreme, out-there, downright cheeky, real pervy and gory aspects besides the life lessons and reality bombs.. but they probably toned it down anyway with the OG Jdrama like the anime adaptation. Anybody realize that in 3:44 there is an one white frame with "TAKASHI SORIMACHI - POISON" ? It takes me awhile to discover, because it only appears in one frame
There's also a version with Blue Encount that was released just 3 days ago. Only got to listen to a part of it. It's different feels for sure but I also like it. Will listen to it some other time.
The show that got me hooked on Japanese dramas. Even after all these years it's still one of my favorites.

yes they still using poison as ost, but now Sorimachi sing it with younger band called blue encount (just encount not encounter)
