I’ve got the connect. Great monitor. When I record prores raw though…C2C is not avail. Is that something coming in the future or am I missing something? Currently only works when I shoot pro res

It will record the proxies but not be able to send them until you connect to the internet. You can hotspot it with your phone or a WIFI hub if you need the files to be sent immediately
Hi @Moises, Thank you for reaching out to us. We'd like to clarify a few points regarding the workflow with the ATOMOS C2C and Ninja V. Currently, RAW with ATOMOS C2C is not available. Therefore, you need to send standard resolution footage to the Ninja V Atomos connect/Shogun Connect. The Ninja V Connect /Shogun Connect will then transcode the footage internally and upload it to Frame.io as a proxy. It's important to note that if your camera can output standard resolution while set up as RAW internally, this setup will behave as if the RAW footage is recorded internally in the camera. The HDMI out signal from the camera will be sent as standard resolution, allowing the Ninja V to transcode it as a proxy in H.265 format on Frame.io. To address your query, the proxies are generated by the Ninja V itself. It transcodes the standard resolution footage and uploads it as proxies on Frame.io. You can choose between the RAW footage and the proxies during your editing process. The RAW footage will be stored in the camera's internal storage, while the proxies will be available on Frame.io for easier and faster editing. We hope this clarifies the process for you. Atomos should be very clear at their website that the 7” connect and ninja add on connect is in beta stage. Very disappointed when I got the 7” connect and it have no of the new important stuff. No NDI, usb c, etc. So then it’s almost nothing new from ninjas and the 7” already we have. Not after I got the products and couldn’t find all the new stuff I was able to find the small text about “coming soon” and all the new stuff.

I presume it needs to connect to a Wi-Fi connection so what if your shoot is on location? Do you have options for that?

Where are the proxies generated from? The atomos itself? How do I choose between the raw and the proxies? Are they both on the Atomos drive?
