- @AutoAppraise we shot 2 in-depth videos outlining this number matching1969 Corvette for sale in Elkhart Indiana for a potential buyer. He ended up purchasing this C3 Vette after seeing all of the photos and viewing both videos posted here on our channel. The Corvette birdcage was looking good on this car, with the kick panels previously removed to inspect for old rust.
Aside from the fact the car is a gem ... pre-purchase inspection by a qualified inspector is the best money you'll ever spend.
Beautiful Corvette. Great color with matching interior color. Sounds amazing. All the chrome looks really good. Great classic Corvette. Great video. Thanks for sharing !
This is one of the best videos (well, both part 1 and 2) that I have ever seen on C3. The 3 things I missed were comments on the weather strips, the t tops (and potential leaks for them), and the birdcage on the kick panels (I hope I did not missed these and you mentioned them).
Good observation- I actually mention the Bird Cage at 4m 10 sec- I did inspect the birdcage through photos that the owner showed me, after he took shots that he had on his own phone. Pics of the kick panels removed prior to purchasing a year before. They were obviously installed when I did the inspection.
Thanks, Jason the Car Appraiser
AWESOME piece of ART🇺🇸🇺🇸
JR, loved your video cuz I recently purchased my 1969 out of state sight unseen. I was very pleased . Great seller. Pictures, videos, FaceTime, texts, etc. just combing out some minor problems as discussed. Love her. And my 1981 C3 finally got a sister!
JR, Great review sir. I've been admiring C2's since I was a kid. Your video trained me on what to look for with a discerning eye. Thank you.
Bob, you are welcome!
Love it❤. Want it❤. Cant afford it😢😢😢
What a beauty!
You didn’t point out any of the things that were incorrect or improperly installed on the car.
That's what I have guys like you for!
the pin stripes are blasphemy
8:25: The fiber optics are cool and a great idea. But that era was pretty unreliable. None worked on my 69.
What was a price?
Mid $40's he was asking
The 1969 Stingray is a collectors item only. Never drive it! If you want a drivable muscle car of that era, try the Chevy Nova with a 350 and all the factory options! It is not a factory option, but it bolts right in.
Ford made some bad mistakes and so too did Chevrolet. This model was the worst Corvette ever made for a driver. It was either under powered or over powered and all off the chassis weight was in the front end. It was good in a straight line, but sucks in every corner. At best (factory stock) @ 123 MPH in a quarter mile. Much slower than most all other American brands. The design was the flaw. They could have made a faster car, but they chose to sell candy to geeks with money. Good marketing? You choose.
Lots of bad things happened under Jimmy Carter.
@@KB-ke3fiOr perhaps Richard Nixon, the president at the time.
You gotta be in something.
There are a lot of good things about this car. Look for the positive.
