Believe it or not chicken wings were thrown away in North America too, Most were bought up by Asians or shipped overseas for next to nothing and a few exporters became millionaires. It wasn't until the mid 80's that chicken wings became a popular snacking food in North America with hot buffalo wings etc.... Today chicken wings whether processed or raw is pretty expensive.

Should use the slow cooker to soften the gizzard. With the slow cooker all meats will break apert very easily. Of course, the heat has to be low. Maybe two or three hours of heating.
My mom would fix chicken liver, gizzards and hearts. But she would fry them. On the chicken livers, you can make kind of a cocktail sauce with it and dip it in it which is very good, Or some mashed potatoes and gravy and dip into the mashed potatoes and gravy(Yum). It’s very fun watching Jay and the baby Interact.😊
As for the chicken gizzard, in a Chinese restaurant, the chef will use a lot of oil, hot, quickly fry them first. Oh, preferably, they are sliced a bit thinner than what Jay has done. The hot oil will cook the gizzard and the thin nature will result in a very crispy texture when eating it, i.e. it will not be that chewy.
We Chinese (I am a Malaysian Chinese though) will eat innards. Basically anything a that is edible we will try to eat and liking of it is subjective though. I am ok with gizzards.

鸡胗应该先煮熟,再去炒,这样也是嚼劲,但不硬,下次试试看。
鸡胗用煮汤的会比较好入口,清水+姜丝(最重要,去腥),鸡胗入汤前也要棹水一下,汤滚后,鸡胗特有的味道会在汤里,加上姜丝真的很美味啊~

鸡胗买回来还是要再处理一下,把带筋的部分去掉,咬起来就没那么硬了。虽然比较费工但是口感会好很多。
鸡胗用滷的可能外國人比較能接受。

粵菜也叫雞腎,通常炒菜用新鮮雞胗,即日殺的雞或未經冷凍的,火候掌握得好絕對爽脆美味,粵菜炒雞腎為求容易剛好熟也講求刀功花刀薄切,Jay炒雞胗太久了必定難嚼,冷凍過的一般都會鹵煮。

Joy,告诉你一个方法,你把鸡珍先卤熟了,然后再去爆炒或做成凉拌来吃,就不会有那种很韧的口感,而且味道会更好更入味!

I usually tenderize the chicken gizzards with baking soda for about 30 minutes and washed it off. The gizzards become crunchy instead of chewy.
