I have always thought that Microsoft’s buying spree was to create enough pressure on Sony to put Gamepass on PlayStation.
I think it's only going to be Gamepass coming to PS5 and Switch. There were rumors of it last year when the Activision/Blizzard deal was going through. Gamepass is a fantastic deal for trying out games for a small monthly fee.
Why would they do that? the thing that makes them money is selling games, the pass being xbox exlclusive and selling the games at full price on ps5/switch would make them more money
@@WayStedYou Gamepass on PS5 and Switch would be more a storefront than what it is on Xbox and PC. And have list of 10 free games that rotate monthly.
I have both a Series X and a PS5, and i love both. They both are just different enough, and the best thing i like about the Xbox is backwards compatibility as well as better modding than the PS, due to their silly "internal assets only" crap. But i like the PS5's controller MUCH more than the Xbox's clunky one, as well as the whole feel of the software.
I like the touch pad on the PS5's controller. Controllers don't have enough buttons, and we need to get together and fix that.

I've always been the kind of person that likes owning their games too but ever since they were in this era where you got to install the game in order to actually play it I really don't see much point in having a desk but if there was a way we could don't have to install it and then we just put the disc in and play it like the good old days then I would probably be buying all physical but of the 37 games that I bought that had a PS5 or PS4 cross-gen version only two of the games that I got from my PS5 are physical. And since the game industry is in this weird Trend right now are they released games half done or broken or both and we have to download an update a couple weeks later so we're not even getting the full product on the desk so I really don't see much point in having it anymore
I'm being for real right now idk why everyone is freaking out so badly over this, cuz I pretty much already could see it happen like two years ago. I knew it was a matter of time and nobody could do anything as of that point. They were literally even dropping very subtle hints thru ticks in different talks, idk how nobody sees these things though.
I AM a bit happy about this though if we get MS putting games on Switch, as that kinda revives a project I wanted to start but didn't start because of the Xbox/Bethesda deal. It's a crazy sounding idea, but I wanted to make a remake of a old Nintendo game (LoZ: Minish Cap) completely modernized, and with the Creation engine, as a drop in mod for Skyrim. Of course the licensing of it all would be an issue but now with the current market and XBOX straight up owning BGS, it clears up at least a tiny bit of the red tape if they would accept the pitch.
Now we just need Nintendo and Capcom to not bite my ass for making a proof of concept. The main reason I even wanted to do the Minish Cap remake project was that I really enjoyed the mechanics and the overall world design of that game so much.
Exactly, while Xbox's messaging has been all over the place, this is what Microsoft does - distribute everywhere possible. Game Pass hasn't been growing, and there's a lot of considerations.
