In order for a song to actually be properly done, it should contain some of the originality of the recorded version, otherwise the message changes. People can make some variations but it should contain some of the original variations in the song. She took the song and made it her own.
E Jones not being all of that does not mean that one does not have an ear to hear. While I am a musician and singer, I had an ear to hear #first before the rest developed. Without an EAR to hear and know music, the rest cannot truly manifest. You can read music all day but if you don't know what the notes sound like, it really doesn't matter.
