I can relate to those crappy factory cast iron exhaust manifolds. Mine cracked too. Replaced em 4 times. If you're interested, see my lengthy response to another viewer below. Love my 3RZ Taco 4x4.
Better believe it will. I put a stainless "shorty" tri-y header ( 4 runners into 2, and then into the collector ) on my 2000 4WD Tacoma with 3RZ, about 4 years ago, and didn't change anything else at the time. ( factory CAT, exhaust, and air box/intake ) I was really surprised at the added power, more than I anticipated. Bought my Taco brand new. It had 360,000 miles on it, when I installed the header. At 378,000 miles, I finally blew a head gasket. ( NO complaints here, I worked the snot out of this little truck, towing trailers/loads 5 days a week plus my 17' bass boat w/115 hp Yamaha outboard on weekends, playing in the mud/offroad, etc. ) I totally rebuilt my engine using LC Engineering's master rebuild kit, bored 0.020" over, and their Stage 1 head, but with Super Tech valves ( OE size ) instead of OE valves, due to the OE valves not being available anywhere at the time. ( around May 2022 ) So now I have much better valves. I have since bought LCE's Pro-Flow exhaust system plus a free flowing CAT & 2 new Denso 02 sensors, and K&N cold air intake, but immediately swapped the oiled air filter for a permanent dry filter sold by INJEN TECHNOLOGIES. It was a direct fit, and because this air filter uses no oil, I don't have to worry about gumming up my mass air flow sensor. ( All bought from LCE, except for the dry filter. ) I'm about to go ahead and buy their header for the 3RZ engine & do away with the old header I'm running now, because I'm sure the LCE header is even better. Also bought & installed a set of 4200 series Bilstein shocks ( same ones put on the 1st gen TRD Tacoma's ), and my truck runs stronger & better than ever. These Bilstein shocks cost much less than they did 22 years ago. Back then, these shocks retailed for $150 EACH. You can get the front shocks today for about $98 each, and the rears for about $85 each. These shocks diminished all of the body roll around turns. Worth every dollar spent. New bumpers, a fender, body work & paint is next.........I'll have a "new 1st gen Tacoma" all over again........only much better than before.
See my other 2 comments ( 1 is a response to another viewer ) below. You can get rid of that oiled air filter on your K&N and replace it with a permanent dry version sold by INJEN TECHNOLOGIES. Direct fit. That's what I did as soon as I bought my K&N cold air intake. No more worries about gumming up the mass air flow sensor due to oiling an air filter. ( Many have complained about this. )

I would be curious to see power gains with a supercharge; I feel power around 3.5k rpm but not any in the low end
I’ve got a 3rz I want to get headers. Hopefully make a little more power lol
