The Boulder Boys have spent the season trying to make $150,000 of opal in order to pay off a huge $80,000 debt. They nearly have a heat-induced breakdown before making one last desperate dig for opal.

Pull the red time line all the way to the end when its finished the yellow advertisment dots on the red time line dissapear. pull the red timeline all the way back to the start and it will play through without any ads. It takes about 5 seconds to do at the start of any video but will save the stress of ads. I hope this helps. 👍

We get winters here but the summer months are brutal. The humidity makes it all too unbearable.
45 to 50c in summer. Monsoonal weather can happen over day and it's hard living in heat.

His machines, pays diesel, bought the mine, up keep to the machines, the list could go on but I do agree you busting your gut and having a find and only getting 30 percent.
Ah next year I am sure they are going to find opal worth 1 billion dollars, or maybe not.
The only problem is they will owe more than that.

That's Bull snoot. Why quit? Is there a government run season, or it gets to hot or what?
Gets way too hot. The Queensland outback is a brutal area to try and live. During summer it consistently gets to 40C and above. Makes it nearly impossible to work in and breaks machines down as well. Not to mention the monsoon weather which can roll in dumping metres of rain and making areas saturated and impassable for months at a time

@@KratosI983 Heat is one thing, the humidity is also at a near unbearable level. It's not that you cant work in it, but it is very difficult and uncomfortable to try and work in. And like I said also the monsoonal rains cut off road access and fill mine pits up, making it impossible to mine in
