true, this game had a lot of potential and lots of promises they made like updates and many season and instead they just shut down whole project.. i remember the very beginning that they revealed video of actual gameplay with text that this is how game is going to look and it never looked that way when it came out.. even how terrible it was (long loadings, connectivity issues) i still kept playing & waiting them to fix it BUT.. i have 472h of play time - imagine how pissed i was about it when they decided ditch this game... well, im not gonna pre order anything from them anymore cause they are just freaking liars

The funny part? EA saw the gameplay of Anthem before it was released to the public and they wanted a flying feature in it. Still can’t believe the best part of Anthem came from EA 😂
@@clarkcollins1804 Thanks, I found it! But it sounds like Bioware did come up with flying, but that they had a build without it because they were struggling to get it to work right, and were considering not implementing it.

I would definitely play it again when Bioware gives that IP to someone else who knows how to treat those kind of games. Bioware gave Star Wars: The Old Republic to Broadsword, Bioware can do the same with Anthem. It’s the best solution.
This game deserved so much more then what it got. Its almost like EA wanted this game to fail it totally deserves a remaster or spiritual successor. Even though I know will never get it :(
Don’t be too depressed. Spiritual successors are very common, that’s very likely to happen one day :))) But a sequel is never coming. That’s a good thing, because a successor could have a unique story/premise.
SO much lost potential... Man I loved playing this game when I first installed it years ago... Flying around, slamming into the ground to fight enemies then launching into the air, circling them as I bombarded them with projectiles... This game could have been amazing.

I want this to be clear because people keep blaming EA for the pile that we got. EA was hands off with this game for the majority of the game development time they gave BioWare the money and time BioWare failed spectacularly and is the one to blame for this. We can blame EA for a lot but this one is not on them they wanted it to succeed and trusted the BioWare name. BioWare couldn’t figure out what they wanted to do wasted time money and resources. They planned to scrap flying in the later stages of development near release until EA told them they had to keep that in and that was the most fun part of the game. EA has failed A LOT but this one is all BioWare.

I have no doubt that making Anthem was an idea created by Electronic Arts only and I wonder how it could happen to a company who is selling the same game (FIFA) year after year and earn hundreds of millions. Just let your studios do what they do best, let Bioware make a new Mass Effect game all 3 years, that brings money and makes fans happy. If it works it works, and EA should know it better than any other publisher. There are also not many risks if you let the original studio in Edmonton do the game (referring to Andromeda made basically by outsources from Montreal).
Anthem is really good, they just didn't draw enough players with the lack of launch content and players never really bothered coming to the game when the content (which should have been there at launch) came in. The game died because it was rushed and was made to be too demanding at first (E3 demo) so they had to scale back a whole lot so it would actually run on machines of the time. Edit: Also doesn't help that Warframe turned into an actual masterpiece that's able to draw players back with every major update.
I liked this game. I just wish it was sure about what it was. Caveat, I got it for $5 from EbGames (GameStop) when it was already announced the servers were going to be canned. Pity, because multiplayer had some interesting builds in its compulsorily co-op phase after you finish the campaign.

I built my PC for this game. I was all in from the teaser trailer, and threw money at it. Absolutely heartbreaking how EA, and Bioware deceived us (watch the first teaser trailer then the actual gameplay of the same moments at Fort Tarsis), and then abandoned it. The real bummer part is that all it takes for me to learn to not touch a hot stove is to burn my hand once. Just one time, and this was it. Now every future dev group has to suffer the apprehension gamers like me have because of failed promises like Anthem. To make it all the worse is that this hurts the smaller studios the most. Not the big ones who are responsible for it.
All we have to do is scream at Anthem like everybody screamed at Universal when that freaking Sonic movie came out and it wasn't sonego some monstrosity they went back and fixed it we can do the same thing with this it's possible I mean they can do whatever they got to do just start a project backup give it one final shot I just want to play the game man I don't care what's broken with the engine can't handle it we got so many broken games and people are still playing them I mean look at Battlefield 2042 the game is just now getting good but I've played it since day one since day one

You seem to had much more technical issues with the game then most the people I played with. ultimately the reason everyone I know quit was because it was boring, too repetitive. Wich is a shame because the gameplay is really cool
next time you run a more modern game on a 2080 (or anything in the 20 series) dont put it on max graphics, you arent going to be able to run it. as someone who plays this game on both xbox and pc I can tell you that some of the problems listed in this video are primarily due to your graphics setting being way too fucking high. this game requires a 2060 at least to run, you have a 2080. there is around a seven percent difference between a 3070 ti and a 3080 ti, which means if we assume its the same for the 20 series you are looking at a GPU that is 14 percent better than what is required. try running this game at medium graphics first.
also, maybe try running ANY game you experience issues with at lower graphics, newer games are being built for the 30 series and so on, the 40 series is out. Your pc components are a little too outdated to be running games at max graphics. even if your gpu was brand new, you would still be experiencing a lot of the issues you listed. It doesnt matter how smoothly anthem normally runs (I only encountered 1 glitch I can remember in my entire time playing, and that was one of the campaign mission characters models being low quality. Fixed itself after a loading screen). You are essentially water boarding your PC with data, theres simply too much for it to be able to keep up with, so it starts bugging out and slowing down.
And to think, we lost so much Bioware talent that could have gone into Andromeda and ended up with 2 broken games. Also, Bioware you still owe me $80 for Anthem. This game was broken on launch and never completed. It's a tech demo.
If Mass Effect 4 ends up being a smash hit, I'll thank anthem for its sacrifice, for being the game that fell so Mass Effect could rise again. If not...I'm just gonna have a very salty taste in my mouth anytime I think of BioWare
The bones of Anthem are absolutely fantastic. The gameplay itself is awesome. It’s everything else around it that is broken. I played this game even through all the BS because it is FUN and different. Had they not pushed BioWare and chose immediate profit over long term longevity Anthem would have been one hell of a franchise. One can only hope they try in the future to build the game they wanted to in the first place.
The flying mechanics / actual gameplay is so so worth it. It’s absolutely perfect and addicting. Feels second nature. I recommend you trying it just for that. Not to mention customizing your suit…
It's still so wild to me that they only decided to have flying in this game in the last 6 months. I know a lot of people lost faith in BioWare after Andromeda and Anthem but I'll take a optimistic point of view and say I hope they learned their lessons from those two games. I guess we'll see with Dreadwolf and later on the next Mass Effect.
Andromeda was made by Bioware Montreal and not Bioware itself and this studio was closed right after Andromeda's fail. Those were different people with no experience in making AAA-Games, as I know they also had to use help of outsourcing companies across the globe to deliver the game at all. So I wouldn't really blame Bioware for that one.
When anthem firstly announced, i was never so hyped for a game before. The feeling that when it released and playing, it was immense. This game had huuuuuuuuge potential, but the EA literally destroyed the game. Wish we could see Anthem 2, it may even create a genree that has a lead for the next games. Its just sad.
I bought anthem when it first came out. I loved it (still do) breaks my heart that they abandoned the game. That being said I started to play it again in late 2023 (still playing in early 2024) and I have consistently been finding ppl to play with really quickly when I select quick play on missions / strong holds. I plan on keeping it on my ps5. I truly believe if we all started to play again we can save it and hopefully the publisher will give it a second chance.
Nope, it's not worth it. Flying around is fun for the first few hours because it's a cool mechanic but once the honeymoon phase is over, it's just getting tedious.The world is nothing special, the story is boring and the endgame sucks. It may be worth it if the story was better, so it's like "forget about the endgame, just enjoy the story for 20-30 hours" but nope.
I thank anthem for one thing, and that’s making EA stop forcing it’s studios to use the frostbite engine. You’d truly think andromeda was enough, but it wasn’t. Now I can’t wait to see Unreal Engine 5 BioWare games. Them “Assets” are gonna be pristine
I like Frostbite though, and I most certainly don't want everything to be Unreal engine nowadays. Frostbite is super powerful, if you know how to wield its power.

I don't think it is worth it, ultimately long term replayability is given by a compelling story and characters. Live services games live as long as there are people playing online. Once the novelty is fading away people move on and even if you want to go back and play...chance is that none is online to allow you play the game the way it is intended. I'm glad this game bombed hard. BW should stick to story rich RPGs.

I swear Anthem's story, characters, dialogue and factions were created by an algorithm. What do the bad guys want? Power. What makes them bad guys? They want power. Why do they want power? Because they're the bad guys. Who's going to stop the bad guys? The good guys. What makes them the good guys? They're trying to stop the bad guys. Why are they trying to stop the bad guys? Because they're bad. That's it, that's the premise for Anthem. An AI could have farted that out.
Anthem was the game that made me decide to pick up a PS4. Got the game just after launch. Personally, I loved anthem and had a blast. I put in hundreds of hours, got all my Javelins upgraded with legendary parts, participated in the community events, etc. All in all, I thought it was a great game.
Biowware hasn't been a decent studio in years. It's run by EA and corporate shills./ For anyone that thinks Mass Effect 4 will actually be a decent game I have a bridge to sell you.

I built a new PC config especially for run Anthem. ANd even with many bugs and problems, i love this game and his beautifull gameplay+ suit system like Titanfall!!! But everytime EA touch something, it transform it in shit....And no hope of ANthem 2.0 or someone else create something similar is so sad and stupid.
I installed anthem last year and had exactly 1 hour of very much fun. I flew around the map did some shooting 1-2 quests some dialogue and during one eternal loading screen i realized what the game could've been if it was a single player "old bioware" experience, i exited the game and deleted it never touched it again since and don't plan to.
I just got it for $5 on ps4. So far im loving the gameplay and the lore. My ranger Javelin makes me feel like I'm a discount ironman with cooler armor. Some PvP would have been a nice addition but it's still fun so far.
my new ssd broke when i tried to install this damn game(it wouldnt install over 58% and just kept "installing" for 12h more and when i tried to delete the installed game files it wasnt possible due to it had broke my ssd) i got a new ssd on my guarantee(was 4months old by then) tried to install this game again and same crap happened again(almost) i still have game files i cant remove on my new ssd(that thankfully still works atleast) So is it just me that had this issue w this game(i now wont dare to try to buy or install any other game i have bought from EA games) So why did this happen??? i dont know and tried to ask ea about this lead to no answer at all n i still await an answer(several months passed already because it happened around the month of JUNE) Is stuff like this happening often for ea games when people try to install them?? i mean broke my 4month old SSd so i couldnt even open it up,got new on guarantee and te new also got issues after i tried to install this game for the 2nd time around"still have files from game on new ssd that cant be removed due to broken or what now can happened?) problem of anthem is that it was abandoned by devs very soon after its release, if it would have been around for at least a couple of years it could've seen a better fate btw was this vid made because it's a bioware game or you were reviewing it for different reasons? Anthem was great ... after playing Destiny 1 and 2 for 9 years, Warframe for 3, Borderlands 2 and 3 for over 2.5k hours I can say ... I miss Anthem. It was unique and sadly wasn't even given a chance to develop into a proper game with some proper content. I had such a great potential. And for a game that was launched 4 years ago (2019) - it still looks amazing.
anthem's best part was the end game combat. being able to put your build together and doing raids was a great experience. however the gameplay loop was very bland outside of that. I was able to put roughly 400 hours total into anthem, and enjoyed most of it. I just wish EA would have to decided to green light anthem 2.0 which would have made the game leagues better and potentially made anthem a "top tier" game.

Shepard is heavily injured by Harbinger. This is actually where the game ends. How so? Throughout the trilogy, we see many sources that indicate the Reapers can partially or completely control minds. Shepard sees that he/she is heavily injured and unconscious. When he/she wakes up, he/she sees that Harbinger has left. But why? Why did Harbinger leave Shepard alone? In fact, when Shepard passed out from his/her injuries, Harbinger took over his/her mind. From then on, everything Shepard sees is what Harbinger wants him/her to see. Shepard sees what will happen in his/her imagination. Now let me tell you other sources that support this. After Shepard is heavily injured, how can he/she teleport to the Citadel portal? How can he/she reunite with Anderson, who is not with him/her at that time? I don't know if you've noticed, but if you listen to the conversation between Anderson and Shepard before they meet in the Citadel, there are some things that don't make sense. When Shepard wakes up in the Citadel and moves forward, he/she goes through a "single-corridor environment". A single-corridor environment! Anderson describes the environment where he/she is located. The place Anderson describes is very similar to where Shepard went in the second game. Anderson says this during their conversation. Right after Shepard meets Anderson, Anderson is shot. And not a single drop of blood flows. Interestingly, I don't remember any scene in the first or second game where there is no blood. Then in the scene where Anderson dies, the game draws attention to the place where Shepard was injured. And it's the same place where Anderson was shot, and it's bleeding. In the final part of the game, you have to choose one of the endings. According to what I've told you, it doesn't really matter what you choose, but if you destroy the Reapers, you'll see one additional scene. In this scene, we see Shepard taking a breath. This is actually where we see the continuation of the scene where Harbinger heavily injures him/her. Shepard wakes up heavily injured, and the game ends."
If I'm remembering the timeline correctly, many of the Devs were moved rom Andromeda to Anthem, so it could be finished. I still think we should have got some DLC and a large expansion for Andromeda. It could have really fixed a lot of the issues with it (not everything, of course) but alas, we'll never get any of that now.
The game is free on XBOX game pass and 20 bucks on PS5, so yeah, heavy discount. It's worth it just to play all four amazing javelins, There's no endgame content and the story is lame, but flying around like a badass is worth the install alone on game pass. Then there's four javelins and they're all a blast with lots of cool loadout options: Ranger - this is Iron Man reincarnate, maybe even more OP than the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Colossus - the name says it all; it has massive health and packs a huge punch; get the shield and run over enemies. Interceptor - fast and agile in all ways including flying; this is is a ninja in a robotic suit. Melee is straight kung fu. Storm - just like the X-Men hero in a suit of armor; rain elements from the heavens and take down everything on the battlefield while hovering in the air. Yes, they're that cool. Play on Normal or Hard if you're running solo and at least Hard with friends/matchmaking randoms.
For 4.99 you seriously can’t complain. In the beginning the game did have massive problems. But people just didn’t give it a proper chance to get better as time went on. I think it is a really good experience game play wise. I only wish there were more players and more things to do. Especially in free play.
I saw the TikTok guy and started playing again this week, somehow the game is so much more stable now and me and the three randoms got off of a grandmaster 3 part of rage run laughing and cheering and I can't believe that this game might get shut down

Anthem is one of the biggest shames in recent gaming history as gameplay and combat mechanics are really good, unfortunately main solo story was lacking which could have been forgiven if the online multilayer had been done properly but a severe lack of content and a hugely criticised loot system meant it quickly got tedious
dead hubs with only one room where you even see other players, lack of variety in the guns, two or three different templates with different colours for four or five types, samey missions which you've played through if you go through the campaign 'collectables' which amount to different colour schemes, material and emotes for your javelin
i just started playing anthem now and i didnt experienced the disconnection issue..maybe they fix it? but biggest problem for me is that there are only a very few players now
Honestly, I remember Anthem not being horrible, kinda was on the level of destiny for me. Meh story and fun gameplay. But unlike destiny, I just kinda ran out of stuff to do in anthem, so I got bored after awhile

Addendum: Would've made a great MMORPG if it wasn't shoehorned into an engine that was totally unsuited to it.
The UI is probably fine on MnK but on controller its absolutely dismal since they dont give you a cursor.

Kind of sad what happened to Bioware signature games thx to bad execution by them and EA! Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem could be an awesome games if they would be executed better which is btw something EA is getting known for more often than in the past!
I hope Bioware will get to its glory days even without its key "doctors" and other key folks. They were and hopefully still r great game studio!

I love the world and mechanic and about this i love the game.
You seem to had much more technical issues with the game then most the people I played with. ultimately the reason everyone I know quit was because it was boring, too repetitive. Wich is a shame because the gameplay is really cool
next time you run a more modern game on a 2080 (or anything in the 20 series) dont put it on max graphics, you arent going to be able to run it.
as someone who plays this game on both xbox and pc I can tell you that some of the problems listed in this video are primarily due to your graphics setting being way too fucking high.
this game requires a 2060 at least to run, you have a 2080. there is around a seven percent difference between a 3070 ti and a 3080 ti, which means if we assume its the same for the 20 series you are looking at a GPU that is 14 percent better than what is required.
try running this game at medium graphics first.
also, maybe try running ANY game you experience issues with at lower graphics, newer games are being built for the 30 series and so on, the 40 series is out. Your pc components are a little too outdated to be running games at max graphics.
even if your gpu was brand new, you would still be experiencing a lot of the issues you listed. It doesnt matter how smoothly anthem normally runs (I only encountered 1 glitch I can remember in my entire time playing, and that was one of the campaign mission characters models being low quality. Fixed itself after a loading screen). You are essentially water boarding your PC with data, theres simply too much for it to be able to keep up with, so it starts bugging out and slowing down.
And to think, we lost so much Bioware talent that could have gone into Andromeda and ended up with 2 broken games. Also, Bioware you still owe me $80 for Anthem. This game was broken on launch and never completed. It's a tech demo.

The bones of Anthem are absolutely fantastic. The gameplay itself is awesome.
It’s everything else around it that is broken. I played this game even through all the BS because it is FUN and different.
Had they not pushed BioWare and chose immediate profit over long term longevity Anthem would have been one hell of a franchise.
One can only hope they try in the future to build the game they wanted to in the first place.
If that ever happens, I hope they keep the flying lol. That actually added a lot somehow.

The flying mechanics / actual gameplay is so so worth it. It’s absolutely perfect and addicting. Feels second nature. I recommend you trying it just for that. Not to mention customizing your suit…

It's still so wild to me that they only decided to have flying in this game in the last 6 months. I know a lot of people lost faith in BioWare after Andromeda and Anthem but I'll take a optimistic point of view and say I hope they learned their lessons from those two games. I guess we'll see with Dreadwolf and later on the next Mass Effect.

Andromeda was made by Bioware Montreal and not Bioware itself and this studio was closed right after Andromeda's fail. Those were different people with no experience in making AAA-Games, as I know they also had to use help of outsourcing companies across the globe to deliver the game at all. So I wouldn't really blame Bioware for that one.

When anthem firstly announced, i was never so hyped for a game before. The feeling that when it released and playing, it was immense. This game had huuuuuuuuge potential, but the EA literally destroyed the game. Wish we could see Anthem 2, it may even create a genree that has a lead for the next games. Its just sad.

I bought anthem when it first came out. I loved it (still do) breaks my heart that they abandoned the game. That being said I started to play it again in late 2023 (still playing in early 2024) and I have consistently been finding ppl to play with really quickly when I select quick play on missions / strong holds. I plan on keeping it on my ps5. I truly believe if we all started to play again we can save it and hopefully the publisher will give it a second chance.
Nope, it's not worth it. Flying around is fun for the first few hours because it's a cool mechanic but once the honeymoon phase is over, it's just getting tedious.The world is nothing special, the story is boring and the endgame sucks.
It may be worth it if the story was better, so it's like "forget about the endgame, just enjoy the story for 20-30 hours" but nope.

I thank anthem for one thing, and that’s making EA stop forcing it’s studios to use the frostbite engine. You’d truly think andromeda was enough, but it wasn’t. Now I can’t wait to see Unreal Engine 5 BioWare games. Them “Assets” are gonna be pristine

I like Frostbite though, and I most certainly don't want everything to be Unreal engine nowadays. Frostbite is super powerful, if you know how to wield its power.

@@Spartan117A51 It is. Andromeda especially (despite the initial issues) has mostly excellent visuals and character creation allows for some of most realistic and unique characters I've ever seen.
I don't think it is worth it, ultimately long term replayability is given by a compelling story and characters. Live services games live as long as there are people playing online. Once the novelty is fading away people move on and even if you want to go back and play...chance is that none is online to allow you play the game the way it is intended.
I'm glad this game bombed hard. BW should stick to story rich RPGs.

I still play it and love it
Anthem was the game that made me decide to pick up a PS4. Got the game just after launch. Personally, I loved anthem and had a blast. I put in hundreds of hours, got all my Javelins upgraded with legendary parts, participated in the community events, etc. All in all, I thought it was a great game.
I PRAY they come back to Anthem, after playing it myself. But since thats never going to happen, try games like Warframe or Destiny 2

I built a new PC config especially for run Anthem. ANd even with many bugs and problems, i love this game and his beautifull gameplay+ suit system like Titanfall!!! But everytime EA touch something, it transform it in shit....And no hope of ANthem 2.0 or someone else create something similar is so sad and stupid.

I installed anthem last year and had exactly 1 hour of very much fun. I flew around the map did some shooting 1-2 quests some dialogue and during one eternal loading screen i realized what the game could've been if it was a single player "old bioware" experience, i exited the game and deleted it never touched it again since and don't plan to.
Nope! Never was, never will be. FULL STOP.
I could never get into the game because it stole great developers from ME:A, which caused it to fail.
I just got it for $5 on ps4. So far im loving the gameplay and the lore. My ranger Javelin makes me feel like I'm a discount ironman with cooler armor. Some PvP would have been a nice addition but it's still fun so far.
my new ssd broke when i tried to install this damn game(it wouldnt install over 58% and just kept "installing" for 12h more and when i tried to delete the installed game files it wasnt possible due to it had broke my ssd)
i got a new ssd on my guarantee(was 4months old by then)
tried to install this game again and same crap happened again(almost) i still have game files i cant remove on my new ssd(that thankfully still works atleast)
So is it just me that had this issue w this game(i now wont dare to try to buy or install any other game i have bought from EA games)
So why did this happen??? i dont know and tried to ask ea about this lead to no answer at all n i still await an answer(several months passed already because it happened around the month of JUNE)

problem of anthem is that it was abandoned by devs very soon after its release, if it would have been around for at least a couple of years it could've seen a better fate

Anthem was great ... after playing Destiny 1 and 2 for 9 years, Warframe for 3, Borderlands 2 and 3 for over 2.5k hours I can say ... I miss Anthem. It was unique and sadly wasn't even given a chance to develop into a proper game with some proper content. I had such a great potential. And for a game that was launched 4 years ago (2019) - it still looks amazing.
anthem's best part was the end game combat. being able to put your build together and doing raids was a great experience. however the gameplay loop was very bland outside of that. I was able to put roughly 400 hours total into anthem, and enjoyed most of it. I just wish EA would have to decided to green light anthem 2.0 which would have made the game leagues better and potentially made anthem a "top tier" game.

Let me explain how Mass Effect 3 actually ended. As you may remember, Shepard encounters Harbinger while running towards the portal of Citadel on Earth towards the end of Mass Effect 3. Shepard is heavily injured by Harbinger. This is actually where the game ends. How so? Throughout the trilogy, we see many sources that indicate the Reapers can partially or completely control minds. Shepard sees that he/she is heavily injured and unconscious. When he/she wakes up, he/she sees that Harbinger has left. But why? Why did Harbinger leave Shepard alone? In fact, when Shepard passed out from his/her injuries, Harbinger took over his/her mind. From then on, everything Shepard sees is what Harbinger wants him/her to see. Shepard sees what will happen in his/her imagination. Now let me tell you other sources that support this. After Shepard is heavily injured, how can he/she teleport to the Citadel portal? How can he/she reunite with Anderson, who is not with him/her at that time? I don't know if you've noticed, but if you listen to the conversation between Anderson and Shepard before they meet in the Citadel, there are some things that don't make sense. When Shepard wakes up in the Citadel and moves forward, he/she goes through a "single-corridor environment". A single-corridor environment! Anderson describes the environment where he/she is located. The place Anderson describes is very similar to where Shepard went in the second game. Anderson says this during their conversation. Right after Shepard meets Anderson, Anderson is shot. And not a single drop of blood flows. Interestingly, I don't remember any scene in the first or second game where there is no blood. Then in the scene where Anderson dies, the game draws attention to the place where Shepard was injured. And it's the same place where Anderson was shot, and it's bleeding. In the final part of the game, you have to choose one of the endings. According to what I've told you, it doesn't really matter what you choose, but if you destroy the Reapers, you'll see one additional scene. In this scene, we see Shepard taking a breath. This is actually where we see the continuation of the scene where Harbinger heavily injures him/her. Shepard wakes up heavily injured, and the game ends."
I honestly enjoyed this game. The one thing that annoyed me the most was that I could not go to the rewards tab in the shop

If I'm remembering the timeline correctly, many of the Devs were moved rom Andromeda to Anthem, so it could be finished. I still think we should have got some DLC and a large expansion for Andromeda. It could have really fixed a lot of the issues with it (not everything, of course) but alas, we'll never get any of that now.
I started a couple days ago and the in game store won’t let me purchase any skins and stuff, is there a reason for that
The game is free on XBOX game pass and 20 bucks on PS5, so yeah, heavy discount. It's worth it just to play all four amazing javelins, There's no endgame content and the story is lame, but flying around like a badass is worth the install alone on game pass. Then there's four javelins and they're all a blast with lots of cool loadout options:
Ranger - this is Iron Man reincarnate, maybe even more OP than the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Colossus - the name says it all; it has massive health and packs a huge punch; get the shield and run over enemies.
Interceptor - fast and agile in all ways including flying; this is is a ninja in a robotic suit. Melee is straight kung fu.
Storm - just like the X-Men hero in a suit of armor; rain elements from the heavens and take down everything on the battlefield while hovering in the air.
Yes, they're that cool. Play on Normal or Hard if you're running solo and at least Hard with friends/matchmaking randoms.
For 4.99 you seriously can’t complain. In the beginning the game did have massive problems. But people just didn’t give it a proper chance to get better as time went on. I think it is a really good experience game play wise. I only wish there were more players and more things to do. Especially in free play.
I saw the TikTok guy and started playing again this week, somehow the game is so much more stable now and me and the three randoms got off of a grandmaster 3 part of rage run laughing and cheering and I can't believe that this game might get shut down

Anthem is one of the biggest shames in recent gaming history as gameplay and combat mechanics are really good, unfortunately main solo story was lacking which could have been forgiven if the online multilayer had been done properly but a severe lack of content and a hugely criticised loot system meant it quickly got tedious
dead hubs with only one room where you even see other players, lack of variety in the guns, two or three different templates with different colours for four or five types, samey missions which you've played through if you go through the campaign 'collectables' which amount to different colour schemes, material and emotes for your javelin
i just started playing anthem now and i didnt experienced the disconnection issue..maybe they fix it? but biggest problem for me is that there are only a very few players now
Honestly, I remember Anthem not being horrible, kinda was on the level of destiny for me. Meh story and fun gameplay. But unlike destiny, I just kinda ran out of stuff to do in anthem, so I got bored after awhile
