  • I live alone in a Swedish countryside house and it became the house of my dreams. This cozy cabin spreads the perfect atmosphere of ease that my heart was longing for. It is a simple life in here and there is a lot to do, repair and renovate. The water supply is a big issue. But still I feel comfortable in my new home. So welcome to a little house tour!

What a wonderful home! Those curtains in the dining area are so pretty. I would buy something like those for my house. I'm not what you would call super feminine, but I am a woman who likes nice things and appreciates pretty things too. 🌺
Also, good on you for listening to your mind and body and wearing what felt comfortable. So often we don't listen to what we need and then suffer in mind, body and spirit. There are times we don't have a choice but to do things we don't want to do or don't feel like doing because life happens, but so often we don't balance those stresses with times of quiet and nourishing. And we wonder why we feel overwhelmed.
I look forward to seeing more of your life in your lovely cabin. 😊 Oh, and as someone who used to build houses, definitely focus on structural issues in your cabin first. The pretty stuff will come in time but you have to think of safety first.

@@dawnc5797 thank you so much for your comment 🙏 I can sense so much depth when reading your lovely words 💜 it was the previous owner who installed those curtains and I don't know either how to call them. I think it is selfmade with cutted pieces of tight tissue attached to aluminium rails.

Lovely woodwork/snickeri inside. :) Lovely area too. I am looking for a holiday place & have lived 5yrs in Sweden previously. I miss the forrests & lakes. Most places are out of my price range or too far from Denmark but I keep looking. I look fwd to looking at your videos. :)

I sometimes joke that mosquitoes 🦟 ❤ me more than Jesus. This is a beautiful spot. Stay inside at dusk and dawn. Leave no standing water near house, not at all. If you have a pet, change the water often. This place FEELS SWEET. ENJOY!❤

Hi ,nice video. Im swed and i want you give you some advices, but its up to you to choose. First Sweden have 100000 lakes and about 30 hughe rivers and a lot of other waters so of course there ar Mosquitos in hughe amounts. But we have something called repelliants of diffrent kinds Lamps that electrcute the flies and mosquitos, Mygg olja , myggstift . and a lot other thingss myggspiraler i write in swedeich so you can remember the names.
Many say no i dont want to use thouse repelliants because they smell so bad!! But for hwome? there will sure be no one hwo will go sniffing at you and what i saw you were alone by the water. so dont bother of the smell the basterds die. The mygg spiral is good on the table outside but dont lit inside .
The smokesmell you can get ridd of if you take a cup or can and fill it with Ättika 12% it will take out the smell of smoke shift The ättika in the cup sevral times in a week and you will bee free the smell.
The gravel and rustwater i think will depend of that the sucktionhose is too narrow the bottom, probably you can digg out some of the dirt with a bucket atatched in the end of a rope and a weight a Stone tighed to the bucket drag it along the bottom to catch debries. or lift up the sucktionhose some bit so it dont ritch the bottom. if the pipes are in plastic there is no problem but you said rust and that could bee metal pipes not so fun. well some tip mabee usefull. Mvh.KJ
