ᴴᴰ R160 Q Train to Astoria / Ditmars Blvd - Charlie Pellet Announcements (2013)

A throwback to the time Q trains operated to Astoria Ditmars Blvd. This service lasted from 2010 to late 2016 when the W line was reinstated and the Q was routed to 96 St - 2nd Avenue. Here are the announcements from this service in 2013. Notable differences: No M60 SBS yet and the original Dekalb station announcement. Various Charlie pellet announcements before the "Ladies and Gentlemen" was removed and a FastTrack announcement.

if I had to guess either
1. 49 St is a busy station since it’s near times sq-42 and it’s in times sq
or
2. it would cause delays for trains at 49 st since a Q would be in front of a N or R train

Neck Road is a local station. You can’t transfer between local and express there so the announcement is misplaced.

That announcement played at sheepshead bay, which is an express stop. It played after the announcement that says neck rd is next.
