Recently discovered you and your videos. I love the videos located on the Broads as they rekindle many happy memories. Keep doing what you're doing. Keep warm.
Thanks very much. I don’t do so many around the Broads at the moment as the opposite of happy memories are more prevalent there right now. It’s just the way that life turned out! I will be back there for some shoots before long, I am sure. The rivers are in my blood.
Hi Andrew another enjoyable video and a great selection of photographs. I spent a fair bit of time in that area when growing up and have fond memories of Cromer amongst other places.
Thanks, Neil. I am pleased my work can evoke such memories. I am very pleased you're along for the ride. Don't forget, if you want to revisit, we have cottages in these parts. One is in Bacton (a 16th C thatched cottage just 150 yards to the beach at the end of the road) and the other is in Northrepps, 2 miles south of Cromer and within a 30 miniute footpath walk of Overstrand and it's wonderful beach.
Hi Andy, another good video, my problem is, I go out with a specific idea in mind and concentrate on that and once I've completed that, I pack up and go home and there have been many many times that I wish I hadn't. My next few outings, I'm not going to have anything in mind, not a specific site or idea and just go with the flow and take in the greater detail of the scene, I'm sure I'd enjoy it more, take care mate.
I suffer that problem too, Steve. In fact, that's the joy of visiting somewhere new: no pre-conceived ideas. We went over to Blakeney toda. It's a very different place in winter with hardly any boats in the creek apart from up against the quay as usual. Changes the entire dynamic of the location. I wasn't expecting to shoot much, but when the sun wasn't behind clouds, the light was amazing. Haven't looked at the shots yet, probably nothing of note as it was bitter and muddy as hell, so only stayed for a little while.
Hi, Andrew. “Less is more” is absolutely true. If you now apply ICM with the people in the image, it will look completely different, won't it? And possibly also in black and white. The first two and the one above the waterline are stunning pictures. I saw myself passing by on my mobility scooter 😂😂😂 . Until next time, friend, I received your email. And don't do anything stupid!
I'll be OK, probably, Antoine. I have gotten this far, after all. I am overdue a new ICM video I think... They do very well for my views, actually. I am planning some more indoor stuff soon too. I will post something in the community section of my channel shortly as a taster. Stay well, my friend.
Nothing is more annoying at a beach than footprints impinging on a composition... nothing, that is, except when it is your own footprints. Pro Tip: add a bricklayers trowel to your camera bag, along with the secateurs for errant vegetation, a rake, a banana, and a coat-hanger in case you drop your car keys like i did. Cheers for the vid, Andy - have a good week.
01:06 did you get 'that' photo? Camera just above the water with playing dogs blur against that beautiful sky . I so often see a photo in a video and yell " there ; at your feet --- great little photo inside the big picture''
Nice compositions, sound advice. Andy at his best.
Thanks, Simon
Great reminder for the beginning of the year and great video. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your support.
You may not be a painter, but you are an artist.
I'll have you know that I barely drink anymore.... ;-)
Inspirational as always. Take care, Göran in Latvia

hahahahaha. Yes, I am a bugger for destroying my own image with footprints.

There's probably an ICM motion shot to be had with that, yes. Can't do everything! :-)
Thanks
Thank you so much. These contributions really mean the world to me.
