yeah I thought it was new path 😁 turns out it's the 1st easiest trick , the checkpoint 3 also have shortcut , just climb the right wall beside the 3rd checkpoint, and keep moving to the left until reach the same place to climb the 2nd wall to 3rd wall , the 3rd wall that was last is tricky if small size 🤣
Hey just tried this and it worked pretty well! I play on the Switch and learned when jumping to the ledges (1:29 and 2:39): stand on the very edge of your starting point, hold R1 and point the character towards the ledge you are heading to, press B once (don't spam it) while letting go of R1. Took a lot of tries but was worth it. The jumps at 2:43 are the hardest and I got there with dumb luck. Also turn up the brightness and if you can bring a friend who has warp, do it. Hope this helps!

Happy to hear that , Yeah the fire trial has been changed since the last update, a lot of player doesn't realize it, and told that it's the same fire trial tricks like the old one , but the truth is there a tiny trick but so much useful on this patch. Glad you made it! 🎉🎉
Reading the comments here and watching the candle records in Sky, the best method that worked for me (PC player) is not jumping from the edge, but running to the edge so the Sky kid starts sliding off it and pressing jump at the last moment. I tried the trick in the video several minutes and couldn't replicate it, but the sliding worked for me two times in a row. :)
Another variant of the shortcut i use is momentum based in the same area, you have to be far enough away to jump once and hit the end corner in a way you will slide off it, and then spamming jump on the cliff edge that gets you to the old shortcut. It takes a couple tries, sometimes your skykid will just abruptly stop at the corner, just keep trying til you get it right :)
damn, after really many attempts, I got the first jump, I thought it was fixed, but no, somehow inexplicably, when I got to the edge, I started to slide from it, not intentionally, and at that moment I pressed the jump, and OH MIRACLE, I did it!

Oh , this one , I watched Kakdamba shortcut trick mastered this one , there is 2 shortcut for that check point 4 , from checkpoint 3 , the right wall that can be climbed , but be sure to use big size not small , much easier if the tallest ot 2nd tall size , trial of earth are the easiest one 🤣 and trial of wind , still practice the wind blow from 2nd mid to the 3rd mid until reach the final windblow to the top 😁

I don't really do fire trial much because I'm not familiar with the shortcuts and I'm not really good at it and tgc keep patching things that aren't even an inconvenience for players. instead of them focusing on lowering the the bugs and glitches they always remove the things that are convenient for long time players like the shared spaces that burn the balls at geyser and also the one at the treehouse. tbh I hate them for that. :< sorry for the sudden rant...

The point is move the left console little by little to the right and left or hold it upwards while tapping the right console rapidly. Increase the speed in tapping the right console if it needed. It doesn't need to be that tall, it's really difficult at that point. You just need to do it over and over again. Back off in a while and run towards the wall while spamming jumps, sometimes it works. Thank you 🙌🏻
i could do the shortcut on pc, but the trick to 'walk by step' didn't work, i just tried randomly till it worked. as for the first one, I just accidently ran, and without pressing jump, my character did a huge jump. the second one, I just jumped again and again till i reached it. btw on pc we don't have equivalent of swipe left stick to jump, only the same jump button we use to fly
I was almost about to comment on how this was impossible and so on, but then i gave it one last try in game and got it to work. Damn the controls are weird in the game right now 😅

they changed the size of the checkpoint (2:32), it is now lower than the character, could this be the reason why this method does not work in this place now? Perhaps you climbed the wrong place. Make sure you climb the cliff at the 4th check point, should be safe. If you climb other cliffs you usually need a friend who will give you White Candle energy, so your 'light' will not decrease.

I'm on PC demo and managed to get it via jumps both times. It's just a little harder to learn. Not sure if same sweet spots exist on switch, but if plane jumps get me on PC, then I would assume you can manage on switch, it'll just take longer to get the sweet spot.
The last jump is too difficult for me 😢. I even tried with a bluetooth paired ps5 controller. Why did they patch the roof jump 😭😭😭...that was quite challenging but I cracked the technique.

@clmartin1120 Must be done quickly, throw your skykid after pulling it in the position as shown in the video then swipe the screen up as quickly as possible. You can swipe on Skykid or the left console. Try putting your device down if you're having trouble, so you can freely use your hand to swipe the screen.
2:14, I got to this point and then fell off the wall trying to get up. Then it took me SO many tries to get the jump at 1:28, then guess what happened? I FELL OFF AT 2:14 AGAIN 😭😭😭 I'm still trying and I will try and update later 😅 Edit 1: I tried the jump at 1:28 again and I managed it first try! Hopefully I won't fall off again 🙏 Edit 2: I did fall off again, then it was dinner and I forgot about it for like an hour lmao

All by left hand, yeah I tap and pull up my skykid with my left hand and then swipe it (sky kid) up or I also can swipe the left console. You can also use your right hand, any hands that make your self comfortable to work with

There is other path beside this one. , the 3rd checkpoint right wall that can be climbed , if you know that path it's easy if ikemen use that one 🤣

The second jump got consistent for me when I stopped pressing forward while jumping

@syal1383 Move your left console slightly up left and right while spam jumps, increase the speed of the spam jump so you don't fall.

It does get more difficult there, the taller your Skykid the better...use 60fps quality

You can't do that jump on controller, cause you need to throw your skykid by swiping the screen quickly

Swipe quickly upwards on your screen, use the same hand as the one holding it while the other hand swipe the left console continuously

I’ve done it once or twice by accident but I’ve honestly read this explanation and watched the video and the left and right controls and slowed down… so many times. and I just can’t understand what you mean (the steps and the hands used in each step)
@clmartin1120 Must be done quickly, throw your skykid after pulling it in the position as shown in the video then swipe the screen up as quickly as possible. You can swipe on Skykid or the left console. Try putting your device down if you're having trouble, so you can freely use your hand to swipe the screen.

As far as I know, yeah height is gave some effects. The taller your skykid is easier to do this trick.

2:14, I got to this point and then fell off the wall trying to get up. Then it took me SO many tries to get the jump at 1:28, then guess what happened? I FELL OFF AT 2:14 AGAIN 😭😭😭

All by left hand, yeah I tap and pull up my skykid with my left hand and then swipe it (sky kid) up or I also can swipe the left console. You can also use your right hand, any hands that make your self comfortable to work with

Honestly, worst tutorial to fire trial shortcut I ever seen. After that first jump it just begun to accelerate, making it hard to spot the right place and detection to jump to.

Agreed. Doesn't even show you where to go, as if you're expected to follow along in the pitch black. They don't even tell you how to do the first jump, just "hold your skykid and throw."
