Going up inside to the top of the clock tower is pretty cool. Dated graffiti on walls and staircase going way back to 1900's. The clock is a lot smaller than you think. It is driven by a drop counter weight pulley system that has to be rewound to the top floor weekly. As it ticks the weight drops through these holes through 7 floors. Coupled to a planetary gear system 4 ways shafts to the clock faces. To adjust time, turn forward or reverse governor rod.

james norman - Rivij - thanks for your comment. I used the Natural profile with a bit of minor grading in post. My attempts at cine-d and more extensive grading resulted in extremely long rendering times and were a bit too much for my current computer system.
Fantastic tour of beautiful station. I can't believe pay phones are still in the station.
Love this train station. Wish you could've gotten footage of the Metropolitan Lounge, but still, a fantastic job.
Beautiful video. Although the melancholic background music seems at odds with subject matter. Thanks for sharing.

One of Portland's remaining architectural gems. Portland had such an illustrious beginning. The city had such promise .Shame what happened to it.
Wow. This makes Portland look better than it actually is. You left out all the bums, trash, and graffiti.
You should show us the seedier side of Portland on TH-cam.
