3:21:40 the reason why some people might be suggesting RE1 -> RE3 is because 3/Nemesis directly continues Jill's story from RE1, similar to how Code Veronica continues Chris' story from RE1. Also Code Veronica is a mainline entry if you weren't aware, it just isn't numbered, it's basically the chronological fourth entry and continues Chris and Claire's storyline.
Thank God you tried to save Richard instead of just letting him die like in Director's or Chris playthrough. He dies anyway but you get new cutscenes and are rewarded with the best shotgun. Also he returns the favor. He dies heroically saving you.
The middle option is not actually normal difficulty. For this remaster of the remake they added an extra-easy option. To unlock hard mode you need to complete the game, otherwise the hardest option available from the start is actually just normal mode. This is why there were so few Hunters (among other things), you were/are playing on easy from the choice of Normal, Easy or Extra-Easy. Also while you were using the Director’s Cut disc for your original game, you were just playing the original version. The actual ‘Director’s Cut’ is the ‘advanced’ option in the difficulty choices. It has more enemies, new camera angles, new placements for all the items, all new costumes for the characters (both default and extra), and even some new jumpscares.

I think you need to try this again on a higher difficulty than easy (that you've been playing on), to get the true resident evil experience. I recommend loading your old save, going "once more" or whatever it says, and going for a hard Jill play-through, or a normal Chris play-trough, to get a proper challenge, so that there's lots of tension.
What a remake this was. I remember my old girlfriend palyed it at night on the GC while i was trying to sleep. Shed wake me up periodically scremaing in terrror 😂😂😂😂
If you really love this game so much, then I really recommend you to download and try a randomizer. All the item locations get shuffled, you never know what you're going to pick up and where. Randomizers are a great way to make every playthrough feel fresh and exciting, each playthrough is a new and unique experience with different sequences of actions and routes, no playthrough feels the same.
If I'm not mistaken. Chris has more health less inventory space and Jill less health more inventory space. That way you kinda have a different experience with both characters.
2:44:26 please be careful of potential eye strain from too much screen use. I know you like to provide us with tons of awesome playthroughs, but make sure to prioritize your health. You might have already considered this, but just want to make sure.
I always prefer playing as Jill because she's beginner friendly, she has more slots and the lock pick is so nice to have. And I feel like there's a lot more guidance in the beginning of her playthrough because Barry is there and I kind of like being told where to start at the beginning. It gives me time to get used to the flow of the game before it leaves me to figure things out by myself.
Not sure about Racoon City, but I'm sure you broke many men's hearts in real life :D Enjoy Re Remake, it is such a good game that I really struggled to play when it came out. It's terrifying. Silent Hill 2 is even worse though.

There's Resident evil novels based off the games, the first one starts off pretty good while going into greater detail with the Stars members. It faces the problem down the track tho where it can't differentiate from the game and goes into too much detail with trying 10 doors with an Armour key😂

If I remember rightly (its been several years since I platinumed this), you hear Rebecca scream in the upper west part of the 1st floor mansion? I think there is an extra cutscene in Lab B4 that involves Wesker, Chris & Rebecca. If you sped ran it for your own enjoyment, it would take less than 4 hours. Do that, then do RE0 to get context before the Mansion incident. With relation to the closet key, the only thing I didn't hear you say was checking the inventory box. I believe it is in there. Also, A very small minor detail on Jill's alt costume, was her pack attached to her waist saying F.O.C.. I know where that unit is from but don't recall her being a part of that unit?

Jill’s normal is way easier than Chris’s normal, so this playthrough was on easy basically. Jill’s hard mode isn’t hard at all i’m sure it would have been an easy hike for you. Also next time please try classic controls. Then it feels like a real Resident Evil classic❤
She is literally playing on Easy. Mountain Climbing is Normal, Hiking is Easy, Walking is Very Easy. You cannot choose the Hard difficulty at first. It's only available on Once Again mode (New Game Plus). You have to load a completed game file to access it.

Darn I gave you a heads up too late about 2 different interactions when you leave the dinning room to go back to Wesker at the beginning of the game as Jill and he tells you to go back and investigate yeah there was a 2nd one if you tried to leave again, a 3 second scene. What resident evil is next? If you go with resident evil zero that game unique and creative, I love the inventory system, alot of people don't alot find it really annoying, most say RE Code Veronica is the hardest Resident Evil but really re0 is the hardest your gonna get your butt kicked around in that game for sure. sorry my comments are long I try to help it but I have sooo much love and passion for resident evil I get carried away and can't shut up 😂

Closet key is in the box. Even though you get the outfits in the beginning. There's one more outfit you get after beating it on once again.

You can meet Barry in researchers room and room 002 in the original too. He acts suspiciously because he soon learns what's go on with Wesker.
