I'm Scottish but live in New Zealand. My grandad passed away and I can't make it home for his funeral. My heart is breaking but hearing you sing old familiar Scottish songs brings me comforts of home. Thank you x
I'm Irish, the very 1st time I heard this song I was 23. My ancestors are Scottish and this song hit me hard!! The affinity I feel for Scotland is so strong. Flower of Scotland makes a part of me burst with inner pride and a love for the great land of Scotland!!🏴🏴🏴 Love you people!❤️🏴❤️
Absolutely loved this! I moved to Scotland 7 years ago from Japan and fell in love with the country. Now I am settled here and married to a Scottish lassie. Now the idea of ever leaving my adopted home is heartbreaking, so I know what you mean about it being hard to sing. I am sat here greetin like a wee wean haha Thank you so much for this ❤️
I will admit that I sat here and bawled while listening to this song. I have avoided listening to it since 2019, when my dad passed away, because it was one of our favorite songs, so thank you for singing it!
My God, left Glasgow in 2007 for the US but this song gets me tearing up everytime, all my old pals are now dead or heavy drug addicts but i love the land i came from
I'm not Scottish but this song just hits something deep inside my soul❤️ though I'm Scandinavian so my ancestors might have been in Scotland a few hundred years ago 😅
Hi, I'm a Mathieson from Highland Scotland and believe my Clan went to Norway 🇳🇴 hundreds of years ago to fight for the Scottish King. It was a disaster but s stayed there and never came home. They were accepted by the locals as they fought well. I see Matheson name is still in Norway to this time.
Hiya, I'm orginally from Arbroath 🏴 but moved to the USA in 1997, married a USA Sailor 🇺🇸⚓ This song always makes me greet my eye oot, thanks your singing is absolutely brilliant 🏴💜🏴
Ocht ya made me bawl. Living abroad for 16 years now, I miss home, a holiday hame helps but sometimes I just need a greet. Cheers ma dear, thank you for this ❤️👏🏻💐
i love artists who have the celtic lilt . while i am not from scotland i feel like every song i hear and image i see i get closer to calling it home. i have the luineage and maybe i will be able to move there and not look back
I have sung this to my children every night before bed since they were born. They aks me to sing it almost every night still. This is the best version I have heard. Dougie would be proud.
Hands down the best cover I've heard of this song! As so often is the case with iconic folk tunes they so often become vehicles of impressive vocal stylings and arrangements, overworked, embellished and obscured. The beauty of this tune lies in its simplicity and the fact it's written as a deeply personal confession to the wind, not an audience. It's lyrical in the true sense. This lass knows the sentiments in her heart. Beautiful voice abd rendition. My favorite besides the original. Every bit as good. Thank you! ❤❤❤
I live in Newfoundland, Canada. Newfoundlanders heritage is based on Irish and Scottish background. This is the type of music I listened to while I was growing up. On Sunday mornings while cooking Sunday Dinner or “Jiggs” as it is referred to here, this is the music that I have on the radio. You have a beautiful voice .I hope to visit Scotland one day, I hear it is much like Newfoundland with the beautiful scenery and friendly people. Keep up the great work
I've loved this song for years and you just took it to a completely different and wonderful place. The way you sang it was emotional and sweet and you brought me to tears with the final verse. This is definitely my favorite version of this song. Fantastic job!
I could not have said what you said it any better I am heard this song many many times by many different artist but this one has to be by far the top for me the emotion she gave in this song was pure joy and it brought me to tears like not many things will do
Nati, what a diamond you are. This song always makes me dream - it's some kind of magic happening while listening - wonderful rendition - thanks for it!
nati, your a beauty, seriously. and i hope you go far. i heard this from dougie mclean, and it was really good. its just theres something about a womans voice, and a scottish one that takes my heart and tips the glass. scots are a major talent. and you too nadi, so i subscribed! lol. cheers to you and yours. craig
One of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard. Been listening to you for a little bit now, everything that I’ve heard from you is wonderful. Keep up the great work you do.
Nati, thank you so much for singing this. This is such a beautiful song and you add your own heart to it. My wife and I just got back from a week long trip to Scotland. I already miss it and I want to come back. I can see why so many people love Caledonia and get homesick easy 😭
I just found Nati. it came up as a recommendation. . .I am glad it was, definitely the voice of an angel singing a song that touches the heart, touches the soul👍👍❤❤
Absolutely beautiful and sending much love and thanks. This was my best friend's favourite song to sing before he sadly passed away. Thank you for singing such a beautiful song and the fond memories its brought back to me. Following your career with much interest x
So beautiful, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I have to admit it made me tear up a wee bit. I got the opportunity to live in Scotland for 2 yrs and unfortunately had to leave, i was heartbroken. I miss it every single day.
I'm both Irish & Scottish, living in N.Ireland... we're quick to point fingers here, the British vs IRA, the Scots taking Ulster... but lets not forget that before all of that, The Scots clan came from Ireland and took Caledonia from the Picts to create Scotland. We've all hurt each other on these wee isles, and its okay to reminisce with a long forgotten nostalgia. This song gives me that nostalgia, and it's so very healing for the soul

As someone who moved away from home, even though to somewhere the rest of the world sees as paradise, with swaying palm trees and beaches, my home up north is still in my mind every day. This song made me cry too. Love your rendition 💕
This song is criminally under viewed. I really hope this lovely young woman finds her way to big success, She’s a treasure .
I honestly think everything this young lady does is criminally under viewed. Very very special isn't she?
Watch it on replay.
It's not her song, dougie maclean sung it originally, she sings it well though 🏴
Why? U reject
@@jaydee3216 had the pleasure of seeing her live recently, on tour with the Longest Johns. Brilliant performance, and this song was magical.

Some Scottish clans such as Clan MacLeod are descended from Viking invaders who eventually settled in Scotland...
