Maynard's voice is always dropped back in Tool songs but he has a great voice. Songs from A Perfect Circle are a great way of displaying his range. What an awesome song this was.

actually, Chino stated that Maynard had visited the studio & he wanted to be on the track. so Maynard made his own lyrics, & Chino just went along without making his own. it worked so well, they put it on the album.

Drummer Abe Cunningham later said in an interview that Keenan's role wasn't really defined, "but he was down to help us work on the record." The group was having issues writing so Maynard came in to do what he does best & remind them how great they were. The result is an amazing song, regardless!!
I have some really good memories hanging out with firends back in thr day on molly and and listening to this song together. Also, other memeories of driving around on a cool fall night with the windows down high as a kit. Good times.
