He claims that he simply loves to "dig into the string" so that's why he went for a Del Gesu. I'm a little suspicious. I have lost a bit of respect for Pinky (and yes, I'll continue to call him by a nickname) because he was absolutely disgusting and racist a few times in the past 5 or so years. Apologies if that upsets you (unless you know of what happened already). That aside, did Mr Miura really switch to a Guarneri after the Strad just to follow his mentor??? Of course, there's the money side of things as well...

I don't know the real reason why he switched to a guarneri but I'm assuming it's either the foundation took it back or he simply just likes guarneri more. I don't think Mr. Miura is the kind of person who would switch his baby violin just to follow his mentor since the 1704 strad is a good pair with him.

妻のマリア・バルバラが旅に出かけている時に亡くなってしまい、三大嘆き曲の一つですね。シャコンヌ・クロマティックファンタジーとフーガ・オルガンの前奏曲とフーガ、かなりのショック❢涙無しでは聴けません。

この演奏を一本の線に例えるなら、濃淡があり線の太さが均一でなく真っ直ぐな線に見えない。人格あっての技術を認識できたら素晴らしい演奏家になると思い期待します。
Joachim violin comp in my opinion is not on par with other comps like Menuhin.....
It's just not as famous. The competitors are top tier though.
