As a Djokovic fan, knowing that Novak has had so many nice words to say about his friend Andy Murray, and also because Andy has struggled a lot with his injuries and recovery after surgery, I really wish he takes the Olympic gold medal in doubles. That would be a massive and well deserved reward for him and his fans.
Andy is clearly a world class individual and phenomenal tennis player. He comes from a disappearing generation of top players with incredible grit, determination, heart and emotion. The kind of guy who could light a city with his exuberance! The selfish side of me is really bummed that Andy, Roger and Nadal are moving away from competition but at the same time I am super happy for them. I'd love to see Andy metal, but I'm just loving his run where ever it ends.
Murray has never been satisfied to win without some sort of drama and a dog fight to the finish. Then to go back to digs and fry up some fish for supper.
