Great video explaining the drip aclimitization process. Can't wait for the next video
Thank you Ray
I hate sucking on it to start to flow. It's disgusting lol@@mariosshrimptanks
@@CoolNumber1 it’s just part of the process bro. Ur not a real fish keeper unless u have tank sucked tank water 😆
Nah, massive fish poo went in my mouth the last time. Nowadays I just block it with my thumb to block the flow and let go of my thumb to which in a way create a vacuum @@mariosshrimptanks
Respect the drip
Very helpful. Thank you for the information!!!
@@tannerb7902 glad it helped
Great video, those new shrimp look nice!!
Thanks Cloe! I’ve wanted to get a colony of lower grade blue bolts for a while now. I’ve got 35 coming in tomorrow along with 100 other shrimp. I’m super excited to show y’all
Thank you,
Please I have questions
1) when you open bag , ph will increase and convert ammonium to ammonia harm shrimp, specially if come from long shipment, so what to
do in this case?
2) as you said its better for long acclimating, is it necessity for air stone? But even if we use it will increase ph and make above mentioned problem, so what to do in this case?
3) how match temperature between bucket and aquarium?
Thanks in advance
@@ahmadsaidi8996 add a bit of dechlorinator when u open the bag if ur worried about ammonia. And ph and temp will match when enough water has been transferred from tank to new container
Thanks for replying,
What about air stone if we are going for long acclimating?
@@ahmadsaidi8996 it’s not needed. U can always use one but I’ve never used one and haven’t had any issues
I did mine for 24hrs, but my shrimp container ended up at 18.C (64.4F) and my tank was 25.C (77F). So I added a 50W heater plus an airstone and slowly brought the shrimp container up to 25.C before adding them to the main tank.
Great job. Matching temp is a very important step
5:04 Got water in my mouth 1 min before this part, worse thing is I've seen this vid 3 times 😂😂😂
😂 it’s true bro. Welcome to the hobby 🤝
@@mariosshrimptanks thanks bro 🙏
who doesn't enjoy a little tank broth every now and again?
New shipment lookon sweet! (Assuming thats it)
This is NOT it lol. I get it tomorrow so the video will probably be out next week. It’s about 100 new shrimp
@@mariosshrimptanks ahh. Cant wait for that!
actually no need get that black stuff control the drip right? I saw some shrimp ppl just tie a knot in between the tube.
@@retroworldnews yes exactly. I’ve done that before. That’s a solid option
@@mariosshrimptanks oh ok so tactically speaking just use rubber tubing can do it without that small black splitter than.
@@retroworldnews yes
Good information
Thanks Darrell
After drip acclimating, should i include the water or do i net them in?
Net them in. Try to avoid adding some else’s water into your tank bro
@@mariosshrimptanks thank you i've been learning a lot watching your videos!
After many, many mouthfulls of tank water I now use a small plastic syringe to suck the water through the tubing :)
@@db7582 boo 👎🏾. That’s no fun 😂
Another easier way is to just fill the entire tube with water from the aquarium (submerge it and make sure there is no air in it). Then put your thumb on one side to cover the opening as you lift it over the tank and put it in the container. That completely eliminates the need to suck on it.
definitely good knowledge to have thank you!
It helps! Thank u for watching bro
What rack are you using and how do you hook up that table??
The rack is a Kobalt shelving system from Lowe’s

I drip acclamate my shrimp for at least 5 hours.
It’s best for them!
