Nice review! I would pick the GT Neo 3T because of the better camera algorithm and I mostly play Call of Duty Mobile where SD 870s are favorably optimized by developers (90-120 fps support). But if somehow Dimensity chips get immediate optimization support, GT Neo 3T would be a clear winner for me.
Gt neo 3 easy pick, that pd supported usb c charger is a big plus. Wish the phone had a headphone jack and sd card slot with fm radio support. I would instantly buy it. Alao chris, can you have a look at the motorola g82 its a £220 phone which seems awesome for the price with an ois camera, fm radio, sd card and headphone jack.

You could immediately notice it by looking at visible shadows on SD870 vs none at all at Dimensity. I guess the SD870 would be quite on par with the dimensity if you turn down to equal settings.

I know snapdragon processors are still very fast even after years. I’m not sure about mediatek because I’ve never used it before
The Dimensity phone didn't really throttle down that much, if you look closely at the score for the 1st run, when there should be no throttling, is significantly lower for some reason and that affected the stability rating as it only takes into account highest and lowest scores.

@Min Suga In Raw power yes. But in thermal nope. 870 > 888 in efficiency. Thats the draw back that they used Samsung process instead of TSMC, Qualcomm also made the same mistake with 8Gen1 that it can turn your phone into a burner, then they corrected it going back to TSMC process and 8+Gen1 were born which is stronger, better and more efficient than 8Gen1

None. Since I'll be getting a bad 20:9 screen because there are no more sensible 16:9-ish screens, I'm not willing to compromise on much else: Android 12+2 updates (3 is better), 5G (for coverage not speed), AMOLED, SD (or 256+GB), Jack. Performance is not much of an issue, and neither is pic quality, for me, core features are. I'm still looking for something to replace my Mi Max 3. I think today it would be a Samsung A52s 5G, but I'll wait some more.

Still prefer the GT Neo 3, ofcourse I am a bit biased sincr its a love at first sight. TBH, Neo 3t while good face serious competition on its own brand mainly the Neo 2. Not to mention its biggest competitor being the base GT 2 which IIRC is at the same price category. Although the Stability to Power ratio may be its selling point compared to the GT 2.
Qualcomm engineering should revisit the SD 870 and produce an upgraded version. Maybe a SD 878G or something like that. The 888 and beyond have clearly been disappointing and mediatek is killing it with the midrange monster dimensity 8100. It's clearly a notch above the SD 778G and the SD 870 is now somewhat dated.
Big diff in prices between these models. Unless you need the better low light cam or the little extra gaming oomph you gonna save a lot by going with the 3T. Check ebay!
I was interested in getting Neo 3, but it seems that base model in Europe will have starting price of around 550e, similar (same) as Gt 2, which is strange.
Probably a good time to stop bemoaning the headphone jack as the EU has today written into law that it can no longer be used in its region. There is a two year grace period before OEMs will be fined or banned, but this directive after several years has easily passed. That was why most progressive OEMs had already ditched the jack to comply with the findings of the EU that were quite damming of the environmental issues of not using USB-C for headphones. So good to see we move into the 21st century from the very old jack IO. These seem solid devices and in a crowded market should be in most shortlists.

GT Neo 3 is definitely the better buy especially the one with the 5000mah battery and 80 watts charging being cheaper than the 150 watts version
I think Realme GT Neo 3 with Dimensity 8100 chipset is actually pretty good for the buyers. Cool display as well as design.
