Another good old school one is Wild Country. It came in 1969 I believe. It smells something like Pinaud Clubman after shave, but it’s better. It doesn’t last long. I would try it in the aftershave. BTW, Black Suede is very long lasting on me and projects really well.
I used to buy and wear a few Avon Frags here and there. Avon has a distinct DNA but there were some standouts and bangers. I wore Black Suede, Mesmerize, Perceive, etc. This seems like a decent offering to compete with the current Niche and Designer "Oud Based" Frags. Oud is like Wasabi...most all Wasabi we buy and eat is a blend of horseradish and mustard powder and green coloring. It does the trick though. I may have to check Avon out again! Was black suede any good?? I've heard about that one but I haven't actually ever smelled it! Cool sounding name though...that's funny about the wasabi and totally makes sense! Of course Ray, any time man :)
@@topnotesfragrance For Avon, they were good but also overall, were decent. I really liked the Black Suede Line. I remember personally wearing Black Suede, Black Suede:Leather and Black Suede:Touch. Very straight forward with the notes and feel of the fragrances according to the flanker names. Warm, ambery, spicy, prominent leather in most of them, similar but different. I think they had a few others but I had stopped wearing Avon by that point. I liked them and they were the mainstays for Avon Men's Fragrance lineup for a while. They're all so inexpensive, they're worth picking up to try if you find them at regular Avon prices or sale prices.
I love your videos! Do you review women's perfumes? Would really like to see some comparisons for dupes for the popular women's fragrances, like Chanel Mademoiselle, J'adore Dior, etc.

Avon frags still do get a bad rap sometimes, but they're a legit designer brand, regardless of their unique business model. I've even heard that their fragrance budgets are sometimes bigger than most other designers. 😵💫 Crazy to think, but their newest stuff does flirt with modern designer prices nowadays. On the cheaper side, my father wore a LOT of Black Suede back in the day. 😄 A LOT.

I commented but now don’t see it. Anyway Avon Mesmerise is really good in my opinion. And Black Suede is also really good. Its old school but I have received a lot of compliments. Even from younger women.

AVON is a brazilian house that make some cheap fragrances. In the region i live in BR, O Boticário and Natura are so much popular that avon is in 2nd ground. These 2 options are so much better too.

Totally! The longevity is actually really good at least 6 hours because its pretty base heavy! Projection is moderate
btw i got it and i really like the smell but i dont think it lasts that much i sprayed once on my wrist and it lasted like 3-4 hours max@@topnotesfragrance
