  • Go Here to Download Your Book - www.myboxingcoach.com - A good boxing workout, a boxing workout where you really go through the gears, needs to start with a good warm up. This is true regardless of whether you are a beginner or a seasoned operator. Start you boxing workout with a warm up like the one that I demonstrate in this video and you'll do OK.
    Before you start your boxing workout, you need to get your heart rate up, you need to get the blood flowing to the muscles. This will help you get the most out of your boxing workout, but more than that it will significantly reduce the risk of you picking up an injury.
    Don't make the mistake of seeing shadow boxing as part of your boxing workout warmup. Shadow boxing is a specific part of your boxing workout, it's not a warm up activity. Check out this video for more information on how to build a good shadow boxing workout: • Boxing for Beginners: ... .

      @@myboxingcoach Most definitely sir. It was your recommendation that brought me to Jimmys channel. I’ve been following your channel for some time(think years). I am no one in the grand scheme of things, but you’ve helped me develop my base in boxing. Other channels to a lesser extent(with respect). I have a better understanding because of you. Want proof?.. Your videos covering the basics/intermediate and advanced are very detailed, yet easy to follow I’ve been able to successfully(in my opinion)fully transition over to southpaw. Thank you, I appreciate you. Prayers and positivity towards you sir.

    Good work! I jerry-rigged a decent heavy bag by tying an old car tire to a tree in the woods.

    My bad if the subject keeps coming up (not a boxer outside of occasional use of the bag at gym), yet when learning about the boxing bounce online have always found it difficult practicing shifting weight from foot to foot while bouncing on the spot, etc.

    lately my knee is giving me problems so i buyed a stationary bike cause i cant run every week as i used to, you think i can replace roadwork with a stationary bike?

    • @zeta5877
      @zeta5877 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to run 5k everyday before but when it came to actual fighting /on the bag /sparring I would gasp at 5 rounds ..I'm a fighter ...now once a week only on Sundays I run like a 10k , stamina from roadwork doesn't make you better conditioned for fights ...you need to do the actual fight conditioning ..I can now do 8 rounds (5 minute per round) with 30 minute breaks ..
      So yes ,in short you can ...if you're a fighter then I would say replace that with actual boxing related conditioning ..

      Try some easy knees over toes training, so you strengthen your knee again. Look it up it works

    Is it possible to box (Sparring) safely?

    • @myboxingcoach
      @myboxingcoach  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. With the right partner and keeping the punches light and even only using body punches...but again no heavy shots
