The first to survey this road is Geodetic Engineer Aurellado. My involvement was in 1982 that lasted over 6 months. It was then called, Lagangilang, Abra to Tabuk, Kalinga Apayao. I left the PI in 1986, over a month before the EDSA

Nice one Mike, sana lang pag may nadadaanan tayong gasoline station sa mga ganyang route e ikarga na natin ang nabawas sa tangke natin... Alam nating lahat na para sa mga motorista naka dedicate ang pagkakatayo ng mga gas station nayan dahil alam nilang may mga mag aalanganin talaga lalu na sa isolated route na ganyan... Again nice content and be safe!
Eto ang isa sa the best content na napanood ko. Talagang hindi ko lang pinapanood, as in titig na titig at naappreciate ko talaga yung tanawin super ganda and at the same time medyo napapapigil hininga ako sa mga bangin 🙄 parang ako yung ninerbyos kay idol. very good video. thank you very much. my mother, grandmother and grandfater were public school teachers in mataragan in 1960s-70s. they used to walk 2-3 days from Licuan to mataragan. I used to go with her but i can't remember now. i was too young then. again thank you for you i can see now (and again) these places. mabuhay abra government leaders for the better roads

Made this same motorcycle ride in 1978. I started from Tabuk towards Bangued. The scenery will stay in your mind forever.
I enjoyed your whole trip, it is a extreme experience indeed. Would love to travel that road someday.

Thanks a million. Bro! Was a fieldworker of the PACD/DILG from 1961 to 1983. Never was assigned in Luna, Apayao but never got assigned in Kalinga Province. It is quite an epic experience viewing your blogged video. Like it very much and will show it to relatives and friends here in California USA. Many of them will also love the beautiful scenery of the old Mountain Province where I was first assigned. Thanks again!

Ganda tlaga jan bossing..dati na ako nagmomotor jan pero matagal na last na byahe ko..d parin matapus tapus ang klsada sa side ng Abra, khit papano mas maayos sa side ng Kalinga.. Mag isa ko rin bumabyahe pero may ramdam na parin na takot pag mag isa mo na sa masukal na gubat..jejeje..
