So cool, amazing photos! As a beginner, it's interesting seeing how you guide the model. I guess being mindful is even more important when shooting film since you can't just spray and pray. Props to your videographer too! It's cool how they showed different perspectives at times (such as 11:18) and similar perspective other times (such as 7:25). Learned a bunch 👍
Yeah the GR helped to just check what the exposure will look like - it's hard to know looking at the ground glass whether the highlights are too over the top in certain compositions.
Fantastic photos, Mitch! I really enjoyed this video. It’s refreshing to see you shooting on film-honestly, I’m a bit tired of seeing so many digital shoots on TH-cam. I know it’s a common sentiment, but there’s truly something special about film, especially the way it handles highlights-it’s unmatched. I’ve been a bit worried that the film revival might be short-lived, so it’s encouraging to see people like you keeping it alive. Keep up the amazing work!
That was a really beautiful look. And I don't mind how it handled the contrast at all! Am just re-entering film and will have a look for some of that cinestill to play with. The kodak gold shots you showed were also beautiful. Excellent video.
what kind of scans are you getting? are they regular standard scans from a frontier or noritsu and if so are they high res/low res etc? Or are they scanned with digital camera etc?
Nice shoot. @mitchlally Quick question regarding your composition with the Canon SLR... I noticed that in many of the portrait orientation photos you cropped the top of the models hair out the shot. I'm curious if that was that because of the viewfinder crop or artistic purposes?

I actually loved the leaks on the first couple of frames. Amazing shoot as always, thank you for sharing this!
Lowkey same haha
Uffff. Such a beautiful work! Everything is so great!
6:11 this looks so nice! Also I love how you check the angles with your GR. I never thought about that.

You guys all did amazing on this shoot! Loved the shots bro
Thanks Skyler! Legend mate
Great shoot. My favs are the one running down the steps (4:38) and the ones at the corner of the building (8:13).
Cheers 👌🏼

Thank you! I plan to shoot both in the future :)
Wow that's awesome technique that you're using. It's so realistic and unique.❤❤❤
Beautiful shots man!
Fantastic. Cinestill400d is one of my favorite and most used film stocks
Cheers! Nice.
Bravo! I love Cine400D!! Love this shoot.
Thank you!

Yeah now I look at them those gold shots were fire. It's literally have the price when I buy it in bulk so it's a tough stock to get away from.
Great shoot team!
Would have been a bit of fun trying to shoot around Supanova happening haha - I bet the BCEC would have been crowded!
Love the Content you do!
love these. defiantly would love to come along on a shoot next time your shooting in Bris
Let’s do it
Cinestill looks amazing with harsh light 😮
Yeah it's actually fire dude!
what kind of scans are you getting? are they regular standard scans from a frontier or noritsu and if so are they high res/low res etc? Or are they scanned with digital camera etc?
Frontier I believe

It’s definitely intentional :)
Dude, film loading 101: do it in the shade. haha
Other than that, the shots turned out great! Terrific job by all.
I’ve done it heaps - it’s always been no problems. I guess the cinestill canister is a bit more sensitive to light leaks. Loading in shade from now on
very nice images!
Thank you very much!
Loved all of it, but that third outfit and shots had a fantastic vintage, 60's vibe to it. Nicely done.
Appreciate it! 🙏🏼
Nice...🔥
Did you shoot this film at 400? And how did you meter ?
Metered using internal meter on both cameras. Shot at box speed :)
@8:08 what are those people doing in the background? 🤣
doing tongue game
