- With just 18 Days till the launch of our Dream Custom Catamaran that we have spent the last 7 years building, the list is endless and the pace of getting tasks done, immediately jumps up a notch, if that were even possible. Boat building is about doing as much as you can in as little time as possible when a deadline is this close.

You and Janet and those who have helped with this project, have done a fantastic job.
This build is top class.
Take care.
All the best.
Thanks mate hope you had a great weekend.Ross
Well you and Janet have certainly tested yourself to the absolute max. I can only imagine how frenetic the last few weeks before splash - chaos guided by spreadsheet.😉👍⛵️
I feel a bit ill wvery tome I think of that period before the kauch Norman, it was a harrowing time.Rossco
You’re a master class in boat design & construction. Much appreciated.
Thanjs Doug, it has been a mission for sure, almost there mate. Ross
hi very well dun .grate work.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😄
Thanks mate.
I am about to watch the video. I want to take this moment to congratulate Ross & Janet, plus all their family and friends.
This is a monumental project. But the dedication and organization has been superb. Living and breathing as if living in a construction zone is taxing and can be disastrous to relationships. Yet Ross & Janet have handled it with aplomb.
Fantastic effort and has been a joy to watch as you solve problems and press on.
Thanks heaps for the kind words, it has been a massive team effort. Janet has beem a godsend to me in every respect, but her ability to see things through blows me away, thanks again. Rossco
Its going to be a bittersweet moment when the build ends. I'm not sure what I'll do on a Thursday evening. I'm truly happy for you to get to enjoy what you've worked so hard for!
You do know a boat build is never finished.
The ideas youre sharing are amazing! Were also working on a huge refit of our 65' power catamaran, and its so inspiring to see other too!!
Crazy that this journey is about over and another begins. Can’t wait to see her under sail at 18 knots.
I did have a chuckle at you two bantering over Silkaflex and gloves then there you are naked knobbly knees the workbench for applying it!!! I know its all afloat but the work and effort to get it there is inspirational
great job. great people
Cheers mate
When using a hole saw to penetrate thick material, use a plain drill bit to make a pilot hole and replace the bit in the center of the hole saw with a solid rod that will smoothky fit in the pre-drilled hole. No more broken bits...
That is brilliant advice Mike. Thanks buddy.
You are surrounded by a fantastic family and friends. You my friend are very very blessed. I hope you name her after Janet, she put a lot of sweat equity in the boat.😊😊😊😊
I totally agree Sheila, I am a blessed man. Janet dug so deep for years, this has been amazing effort on her behalf and my family are just beautiful.Rossco
Hey Rosco, talking about Pump efficiency - one of the reasons you don’t fit anti syphon at the top of your bilge pump loop as that point becomes the head height whereas your outlet is the effective head once the lines are purged. As long as the pump can initially fill the lines you’re flow will be all good.
IT'S ALWAYS the journey, not the destination. ive followed from when you bought the mould.Ive had a few different accounts😂.TH-cam used delete accounts back in the day if you went against the narative, now just 24hours in the can.
Congratulations to you and everyone who has helped over the yesrs🎉
Superb
Cheers
The dreaded lightening even if it hits the water near you it can do damage, keep pushing guys.🤙🤙
I think every one with a boat is paranoid, for good reason.
All coming together now well done. I reckon you'll have to serenade us with your guitar from the helm to celebrate launch ! Wishing ye many years of champagne sailing.
When working with sikaflex it’s best too put a dab on yourself before you start.
I totally agree, saves the frustration when you get it on you later.
Great job, l have been watching since your channel was called life on the molds and you were just putting the mold together. You two have come along way and it makes me feel a lot older. Now just get it in the water.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I remember watching the water tank being installed. Fantastic to see the boat so close to launch.
Getting close. I’m excited!!
Hopefully, we get to see the launch video soon.
I was moving a big dollar 78' sportfish from Florida to Dominican republic. I arrived at the boat and helped the electronics tech repair 8k worth of lightening damaged nav equipment. Left 2 days later only to find out a couple other systems had been lightening damaged between the time of the repair and our departure.
Very frustrating.
So much work to get to this point, Roscoe, well done!
But can’t help but wonder, why aren’t you doing the bilge thru hulls on the inboard sides of the hull under the bridgedeck?
Lookin good Ross. Did you consider storm covers on the ports during rough conditions?
Janet's not stressed, just ready and prepared. Does grounding really work for direct, high voltage, high amperage lightening strikes? Parlay has been struck twice, frying everything. Boats have gone dark, turning off all electrics, same effect. All using a variety of earth grounding. The main mast is the tallest location plus gages or lights. What is your protection system rated for?
Again with Parlay, they were offshore during a lightening storm, lower onshore buildings got struck and received significant damage. They were spared. In boatyards, tied up or at anchor, some neighboring boats got fully or partially struck. So is it more luck.
Thanks Roland, we have watched with interest the various channels with lightning issues including our own yacht being struck and am convinced that it is purely a wrong place at the wrong time. Only thing you can do is try to create a short path to the water.
It's hard to get panicked, knowing it's floating!! That extra water storage, it would make a great dry food storage, bags of rice and cereals, cans of beer or fill it with wine and put a tap on it!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ross ive been watching you since svseeker podcast. Your work is outstanding im hoping your enjoying getting hwr done on the water.
Thanks mate, appreciate you taking the time to follow. All the best.Rossco
Are you putting a moon raker on each hull or only one. And ideas on one or 2 for cats cheers greg
Have you ordered your mast yet? 18 days is a short time to manufacture a mast.
❤ Roscoe can't believe your about to launch unbelievable. When do you do the antifoweling? ❤hi Janet
@gillyb333 you are yesterday 🫤
