Great video Josh. Just curious why it appears all the sheds have concrete floors and not some with slatted floors with underground tanks. The amount of straw being used would be dramatically less.
Thanks David. Mainly due to the logistics of the muck. We take it a long way from the farm to our off ground when we get the time as the land around the home farm is where the research cattle graze and we can’t spread non research dung on their fields. 👍
@@JMFarming That makes sense now! Keep up the great work with the videos and interesting content. Always interesting to see other farms (especially with Deere’s on them 😉) 👍
First time I have come across them, they seem to be the job! We don't do much if any fieldwork with this machine though. Only stacking a few bales on a hard standing at the most!
@@JMFarming ahh I see yea that’s good then we do mostly yard work with ours in winter but come summer / autumn ours does almost need the tread tires then
Not anything like that no, would be an interesting one! What amazes me is how the cows go out of their way to get in the way of the straw blowing in! Must give them a nice scratch!
So the Herefords are the oldest cows on the farm, we now keep and breed stabilisers. We keep any Herefords that get in calf and rear their offspring as commercial cattle.
Enjoyed good vid 🚜👍🏴
Thanks Glyn!
Food for the soils. Thanks for the content.
Indeed it is! A pleasure!
Great video Josh 👌🏻 Happy Christmas
Merry Christmas Colm!
Merry Christmas ☃️🎄☃️ have a lovely one
Thank you John! Merry Christmas!
All those switches and buttons, I'd be lost.👍🎄
Not sure how many more they can put in the machines now!
Great videos there getting better all the time
Thanks Blaine!
Good one Josh 👍
Cheers bud! 🤙
Can you do a farm tour and a machinery tour?
There’s a video doing a farm tour and also 3 machinery tour videos I think if you scroll back through my old ones! 👍

Do they do any testing regarding dust and animal health for the cow? Just wondering and no I'm not a vegan.

Which breeds do have on the farm(s)? I‘ve seen Hereford crossings, but what are these red ones? South Devon?

@@JMFarmingWhat are stabilisiers? So are non of the red ones South Devon cows but all crossbred (with Red Angus?)?
@@Jakob_Hehe a stabiliser is a cross of a Simmental, Red Angus, Hereford and Gelbvieh. No south Devon’s here 👍🏼
@@JMFarming ok thx. Is it always a fourth of each breed in one animal or may this vary while still getting a stabiliser?
@@Jakob_Hehe think it depends a bit on the breeding line and where abouts you are in the world!
Did a giant take that dump
😂😂😂
Y don't use put a drill hope in the dump trailer so the water run out of it
That would be a good idea! Most trailers come with plugs now as standard! Was amazed how well the back door sealed! 😂
the way i told u that as we have a Marshall tralier the same and tape hope of 4 the harvest
I think you are correct, we should put a hole in it!
If you live where I think u live, Cornwall is better sorry chap. Great videos tho josh. 👍😆
Oooooh I don’t know about that! Thanks!
@@JMFarming we have the best pasties 😆
@@Phil.Weston21 I won’t argue with that!
