Thankyou so much for ejecting that solder at the end. I would have freaked out for the next few days wondering whether or not you got it out alloyed without spoiling >_
Mick the only reason why I was suggesting the deep miner in your previous video was to make it easier for you to get material and not having to go out in the hot environment so many times. Also, a minor question. I am currently on a different build doing a lot of filtration of gases and the process is pretty slow and I was wondering could I speed up the process using either a volume pump or turbo pump? Is that possible or is it just plain pointless?
Filtration works on pressure differential. You want high pressure on the intake, I usually set it at 30-35mpa, and low pressure on both outputs. So knowing that, the setup will depend slightly on what the pressure is of the gas you want to filter and how much you want in storage. You have to be careful with the temp and pressure of the different gases you allow into the high pressurized(~30mpa) sections though because you will need to account for any gases that will condense. The most common gas to condense will be X(Pollutant) but just depends on your setup. Right now on Vulcan, I have my cold tank atmosphere at ~60C and ~5mpa. I use that to feed my Filtration setup to get ~10mpa of Volatiles and CO2 into storage tanks. I connected the unfiltered/waste to the 5mpa cold tank line, not to the high pressure intake. So I only need a pump to get the Filtration's Intake up to 30mpa, and that will give me a +20mpa differential for the filter. 30mpa input - 10mpa output = 20mpa differential at worse when the tanks are filled to 10mpa. Now if I wanted to get to 30mpa of filtered storage gas, I would put a pump between the filtered output and the storage tank to empty the filtered output it into the storage tank. This means I can set my intake pump to 30mpa and the filtered output will be low (maybe 1-2mpa) so the only impact to the pressure differential will be how your waste is connected. If I connect it to my 5mpa cold tank line, then I would have a 25mpa pressure differential(30mpa - 5mpa = 25mpa) which will greatly increase the efficiency of the filtration. I use a modified version of Mick's Internal Filtration Controller and add some basic code to control the intake pump to reach the pressure I want.
Did some testing and putting pumps on the inputs and outputs of the filtration units only works at higher pressures, 20 MPA and up roughly. At lower pressure the pumps only slows the process down more
Love having your content on while I play, thank you for all the entertainment you give us all
Have you noticed the plant room-air water collector is not on/open? Hard to save the plant sweat when your valve is off.
Thanks, I might need that later
Think there is still a suprise in your pants pocket😁
Looking good Mick👍

You left the valve of the canister in your backpack open, If you go outside it will fill up with outside air.
I do the a lot with the spare canisters
Did you see the note on the better power mod about battery chargers?
dumb question but I am curious. I hear an occasional snap or pop in the background. Do you have a fireplace burning?
That is my heater making a lot of noise as it heats up.
Whether Station is off
that's fine, the storm warning maks a little doodad spin on it even when off. That's what he's looking at

@@johnturner9546 thank you for this information.
It will speed it up. I find that series filtration setup is the faster way to get it done now.
@@cowsareevil7514 Thank you for this information Mick and I will work on doing that for my build.
