Theory for the cat: He was in a experiment lab when the lab malfunctioned. The containers broke and the cat and the other mutants escaped. Now they roam around in the locked houses.
Here's a theory for the pet simulator X thumbnail: This cat escaped a lab with extremely high security and did it with the help of the other expirements. The reason why they escaped such a high security place is the fact that they were so determined to do it that they let NOTHING stop them. They were also determined to escape because at the lab they expiremented on the pet simulator X eggs to make them have the features that they need. Those were failed expirements so they were going to be destroyed. They decided that they had to escape before they were killed. They wanted to survive so badly. Although they were just animals to they couldn't talk to the humans, but the scientists didn't understand that they had feelings too. They all thought that when they changed the DNA of expirements they turned into beings that didn't feel anything. Not even emotions. But these expirements could feel everything. The expirements were put through testing and abuse until a player purchased them. All of the failiuures would be killed within 10 months of the scientists finding out about them. All of the pets hated life in there and even out of there because they had to work constantly. They could only tale breaks after hours of the players using them, then they would soon be put back to work. The failiures didn't want to be a successful expirement anyways. The successful ones were weak and couldn't escape, yet the failiures were much more strong and had a better change to escape all of the torture. These three failiures helped eachother out in secret, keeping their plan from the successful expirements. See, the successful ones would always hurt the failiures since they were found as failiures. The successful ones were so snobby to them because they didn't know that they were in for the same kind of torture when the were purchased. The failiures thought that they deserved this neverending torture. So they escaped alone and left all of the successful expirements behind... But they killed some of the successful ones who were never terrible to them to end their suffering before they went. Now they are waiting in pet simulator X for the right moment for REVENGE..!

All the cat theories are so dark so I'm going to make one that DOESN'T end in murder (hopefully, I wrote this before making the actual story lol) The cat was once a normal, innocent cat. It acted and behaved exactly like a house cat would. However, one day, it strayed too far away from its home and could not return. However, luckily, it encountered a friendly janitor (yes, janitor-- I couldn't think of anything else TwT) as it wandered the streets looking for a way to return to it's owner. The janitor took the cat in, but quickly realized that there wasn't any way for him to sustain both him and the cat-- so he sold it to a scientist instead. The scientist wasn't so friendly. It used the cat for many experiments, even when his friends told him not to. The experiments were cruel and tolling on the cat's body, and the cat was confined in a small box made of metal. As time went by, the cat started to evolve due to the chemicals around the area. Its teeth grew long and sharp, and covered almost all of its throat, until it could barely close its mouth. Eyes formed around its entire body. The claws were left unchecked until it became fatal to be even hit once by it. The guy called them, "horrors of nature" and the scientist was trying to form it as a way to eat trash-- to control a being so that the world could use it to clean up after themselves. However, doing that made him lose him mind, slowly, but surely, until one day, the cat realized that he had left the cage door open. It seized the opportunity to run out and free all the other animals caged in the facility. They ran as far away from the lab as possible. A little girl, not too old, noticed them rushing down the street. She found the 'horrors of nature' cute, and decided to take them in. And, at long last, the cat and its friends had found a place to settle down after what probably was years of trauma. That was long LOL. And sorta rushed, but I'm kinda satisfied with it.

Hey Sona you did a pretty good job with this and my personal fav was Brookhaven especially because in the actual game there are tons of dark secrets. Also if you're still wanting to do stuff on this topic I'd suggest draw Super Doomspire or Murder Party, both are pretty nice games with great lore.

Cat Theory: US pennies contain more zinc which is toxic and causes red blood cell destruction. Maybe, the toxic from the zinc affected the cat in a weird way, causing mutations to occur.
