Because of unique features compared to other development housing projects. I This admired the braveness of this Vietnamese Architect. Because some architects is trying to impressed other developers only for a profits without the regards of nature & humanistic well being. Thank you for making this documentary.
Absolutely love your ideas! Been living in Japan for many years and the concrete jungle is becoming the norm everywhere- it is great to see people like Vo Trong Nghia taking the initiative and pushing forward past accepted practice with these designs that serve the people who live in these structures as well as everyone around. I am a big fan of bamboo and hope Japan starts using more of this fantastic resource we have in abundance as well! I was happy to see that he did his thesis at the University of Tokyo and had Japanese architects on his team- it gives me hope that it may start to become a reality here too.

The adaptation of architectural designs on social improvement on a global scale that the architect Vo Trong Nghia implemented has a great impact on the prosperity's perceptions.

I will be retiring in the next few years and my wife and I just bought some farmland going out toward Da Lot (don't know precise location). We will be building a small house on the land and I would love to have Vo Trong Nghia have a look at it and give us an estimate. A house this small for $4000? That's still too much! Why not incorporate industrial building materials with local materials available to achieve a more economical sustainable structure? There appears to be too many alternatives here that have not been taken into consideration.

its tiring to impose your own design especially its new to your market. each and everyone has its own taste. architects are there to provide essential ideas for passive house designs. most of of his designs are japanese type. i like the test tube house design of vietnam and i think he can incorporate passive design ideas to that.

On the other hand, I could see these new homes being used for 3-5 decades with occasional replacement of all the organic woven panels. The basic longevity, makes the $4000 a reasonable investment. Will anyone offer mortgages? How will a farming family, like the Phams, save this much up front? Social issues are at least as important as the engineering and erection issues.

Clients "see with no eyes" and are only looking to make profit. as the video said, the locals are reluctant to a change in taste, so therefore they are reluctant to approve a green project like so. However, if he does small projects and build up his portfolio, client's will more likely approve his work and end up building spaces in Chang Mai. It's pretty clear...
i really like his ideas however i think the money he spent on that house could have been way cheaper pre cast cement is good but the material used on the structure some what expensive i build homes in Jamaica for under $3500 USD . typical model a solid block bathroom and the foundation being fully cased complete with living room bed room and a balcony and a Kitchen
